Steam servers too busy

HELP!
I start the game up and it says:
Steam servers are too busy to handle your request.
Please try again in a few minutes, i waited 3 minutes and it still didn't work, so I waited 3 minutes again.. done this 3 more times and it doesn't work

I had this on my mac book, had to reinstall FM and Steam in the end, after speaking to Steam

I'd go with this. Sometimes complete re-install is best option
