steam updating and then nothing??

Hi everyone had a look through the forum but nothing to help,so im trying to install fm2011 via steam everything goes good until the phrase "updating steam platform 45%" and then nothing else happens.
What am i doing wrong help!!!

There could be a chance it's a problem at steam's end.
