Stockport- a magical moment

So i decided to take on a club in trouble, and with stockport county being in the news for debt,player revolt etc etc i thought they are the club for me

transfer budget season 2009/2010- £0

so i decided to search through the free agents and picked out around 5-6 decent players, mostly were foreign and very low wage, the dea was to create depth to the squad.

also i went into the boardroom and asked for a parent club which 2 weeks later they delivered me with man utd , man city or everton- i picked man utd as there youth setup is amazing

i loaned febian brandy and the lad is amazing in his first season he played 42 games and scored 37 goals leading the stockport club to a comfortable 15th in table


2010/2011 season

transfer budget 200k

even with a decent budget i piled it all into my wage budget and again dug into the free agent market, and what luck i got. Febian Brandy had been released by man utd and he jumped at the chance to sign for us

i also signed 4-5 other decent/good players that had been released including richie de laet from man utd and a couple of others

This is where the magic started, i just kept winning and had a very good run in the FA CUP,

league position 6th- won playoff final
FA CUP- quater final lost to man utd 6-0 , beat sunderland,ipswich,charlton on way to quater final
league cup- 2nd round


I am now in championship in pre season and my wage budget is 3.3 million
