This is my first ever Football Manager Story on here, hopefully you will like it. Sorry if it is not up to scratch. I am using 10.3 update.
Pulis Out, Pulis In
On the 7th July 2009, Tony Pulis stepped down as manager due to illness problems, his brother, James Pulis applied for the job straight away. Seeing as pre-season was just about to start, the Stoke chairman thought they needed a new boss straight away so they appointed Pulis.
Coentrao Rejects
Portugal's ace left winger, Fabio Coentrao turned down a loan offer from Stoke City to join Sunderland instead, Pulis was unhappy with the decision but he is looking at other targets.
In Pulis' first press conference, he said that instead of using a defensive tactic he would rather use an attacking one. He went on to say that if he wants to use this tactic correctly, he might need to use a 4-5-1 formation that could change into 4-3-3.

Marc Wilson - Celtic - Stoke - £1.9 million - "Finally we have a back-up right back. If Wilkinson got injured then we wouldn't have had anyone to replace him. "
Senijad Ibricic - Hajduk - Stoke - £3.8 million - "Senijad is a very good back up striker and I think he will be an important member to our team.

Stoke 1-1 Tottenham (Faye 90+1)
Really good result, we were rubbish until the final minutes when Beattie and Wobay came on, then it changed the game, threatening lots until Faye got the equaliser in the 1st minute of stoppage time. In the last seconds Tottenham hit the post but we survived!
Stoke 1-0 Wigan (Shawcross 23)
Really poor match but in the end we deserved to win. Wigan created no opportunities what so ever. Shawcross played exceptionally well along with frontman Tuncay Sanli
Oldham 0-1 Stoke (Shawcross 90+3)
We were poor to be honest. Ryan saved us today in the dying moments of this League Cup 2nd round match. I'm not bothered about this cup much though.
Sunderland 1-0 Stoke (Benjani 87)
We should have won this easily, instead the lucky hackers Sunderland, who had nine men got a late winner. Really gutted.
I finish the month in 10th with 4 points from a possible 9 points. I am happy with our performances and I think Shawcross was our best player.
