### Author’s Note
This is my first FM story to write. As an Indonesian, I’m sorry if there are grammatical errors in this story, as English is my 3rd language. Also, I apologize if there are unwanted coincedences.

###Game’s Note
This game played with FM 2010 patch 10.1, and edited database including editing several Dutch players mentioned on http://www.kaskus.us/showthread.php?t=2343878 that have Indonesian ancestry, by giving them secondary nationality Indonesian.
Loaded leagues : Scotland (Division 3 and above), England (League 2 and above), Italy (Serie B and above), Spain (Liga adelante and above), Indonesia (Divisi Utama and above, view-only).
Database size : Large with Indonesian players loaded and players based on Netherlands loaded.

July 1st 2009

My cellphone’s alarm clock ring, time’s up to read the newspaper, and it’s time to go to Den’s Park Stadium, Dundee, for my first day in managing a club.
The first press conference as a manager, bit nervous to be honest, but thanks God, I can answer all the question given, and I hope the answers are satisfying.
Whilst my players training, I – with help from my assistant Ray Farningham examine the strength and weaknesses of the players.
Too many central defender and lack of winger in this team is my first opinion about this team. Tomorrow, I wanna see how well this team and the reserve play.

My long-term aim is to bring Dundee to the UEFA Champions League. But for now, I aim to promote Dundee to Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League.

July 2nd 2009
Dundee 1-1 Dundee Reserves
[Colin McMenamin 82’ ; Ross Grant 75’, Ben Etchels inj-15’]
A little disappointed with draw, but at least I have another strategy for this wingless team.
Two impressive youngsters from the reserve – Ross Grant and Gary Irons will be on my sight this season.

Good news! I directly send an email to PSSI, to apply for job as Indonesian national team manager. Soon, they accept my application, and consider it.

July 5th 2009
Jakarta – PSSI confirmed the appointment of Bijak Riyandi Ahadito as the new manager of Indonesian National Team. Bijak – currently managing Scottish first division club Dundee, will come to Jakarta tomorrow to meet the media....

Now, it’s really a dream come true!
The main aim is to qualify for Asian Cup 2011, and I also aimed to qualify for South Africa 2010 (or if failed, World Cup 2014). Indonesia’s last World Cup appearance was on 1938, and was under the name of Dutch East Indies on the time. I really want to end Indonesian drought of achievement and misery in the Asian Cup and the World Cup.

First thing to do is choosing the squad. In the middle of confuse, an e-mail came to my inbox one day, and it’s a link. I opened the link, and find there are so many players in the Netherlands and the other countries have Indonesian blood flowing in their arteries. This unknown guy really gives me an idea to call those guys up to the national team.

After filtering the players in the national pool, here is the 26-man squad:
GK: Markus Horison, Jandri Pitoy, Ferry Rotinsulu
DF: Charis Yulianto (C), Ricardo Salampessy, Mahyadi Panggabean, Maman Abdurrachman, Ferdinand Katipana*, Ian Kabes, Delano Hill*, Milan Berck Beelenkamp*, Muhammad Ridwan
MF: Levi Risamasu*, Dominggus Lim-Duan*, Ponaryo Astaman, Irfan Bachdim*, Syamsul Chaeruddin, Imanuel Wanggai, Jason Oost*, Usep Munandar, Eka Ramdani.
FW: Sergio van Dijk*, Jhon van Beukering*, Boaz Solossa, Bambang Pamungkas, Saktiawan Sinaga.

Those with asterisk are halfblooded-players.
I really want to call Radja Nainggolan to the National Team, but as he has capped for Belgium, so I can’t call him up.

I am also Indonesian, anyway good luck, will be following

Dundee 3-1 Glenn Hoddle Academy – Friendly
DundeevGHAcademy.png

Leigh Griffiths’ goal really make my players morale raise. I’m slightly disappointed with Fisher’s goal, but I believe that’s because of my defenders are tired.

July 13th 2009
Dundee 0-2 Dundee United – Friendly
DundeevDundeeUtd.png

Outclassed in nearly all sector. This will REALLY hurt the fans, as losing to the fierce rival is unacceptable. But, I can accept the defeat as Dundee Utd. is SPL outfit.

July 19th 2009
Tamworth 0-7 Dundee – Friendly

Cameron really make the difference in this match. After this match, my players’ morale are sky high.

Dundee 0-2 Burnley – Friendly
DundeevBurnley.png

Nothing much to expect. I realize that it’s difficult to defeat an EPL outfit like Burnley. But I’m satisfied we only beaten by two margins.

July 26th 2009
Dundee 8-0 Whitehills – Friendly
DundeevWhitehills.png

Another excellent performance of Leigh Griffiths. Score 4 goals (eventhough 3 of them are penalties given away by Whitehills) and being the man of the match with rating 9.6.

July 31st 2009
Well, in the end of this month, I’m satisfied with the results and performance shown by the players.
I’m considering bringing some wingers and more DM/MC to the team, and let some CBs go (as there are too many center backs in this team).
So far, we’ve signed Jean-Joel Perreier-Doumbe and Yvan Tomatula both on free transfer. I failed to get some players on loan from big team reserves, but I’ll try harder to find.
Tomorrow will be Co-operative Cup 1st Round’s match versus Arbroath.
For the Alba Challange Cup, we’ve drawn with Inverness CT – the possible Division One title challanger.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH : Leigh Griffiths
Seven goals from 6 games. Great warm-up for the lad. Expect to see the same in the league.

Sorry for being late to post this update. I have something to do.
I forgot to post my profile page in FM on the first post.

Good news that finally we can get some loan signings.
We’ve got double-footed fullback Lafferty from Celtic, and also Corry Evans from Man Utd. We also got youngster Gary Frewen on free transfer.

Arbroath 0-3 Dundee – Co-operative Cup 1st rnd
[ ; Higgins 20’, Griffiths 33’, 36’]
Good win in the starting day of August. Thanks to Arbroath’s Barry Sellars that missed his penalty.

August 8th 2009
Ross County 1-5 Dundee – First Division
[Wood 6’ ; Evans 16’, 24’, 90+2’, McMenamin 56’, Griffiths 89’]
Classy win on the opening league game. Evans’ hattrick really boost morale eventhough we trailed first. Eric Paton got injured in this game, and from physio report, he will be out for 9-11 months. Not a good news.

August 12th 2009
Indonesia 2-0 Maldives
[Ponaryo 32’, Boaz 43’ ; ]
Starting XI : Horison; Maman (Ridwan 86’), Charis[c], Berck Beelenkamp, Ian Kabes (Katipana 81’); Syamsul (F. Utina 71’), Ponaryo, Usep (Padwa 69’), Jason Oost (Bambang 71’); Boaz, van Dijk (van Beukering 81’)
Unused sub : Syamsidar, Isnan, Lim-Duan
Great win on my first international game as a manager. Those half-blooded also make a nice contribution on their first international match.

August 15th 2009
Partick Thistle 2-5 Dundee – First Division
[S. McKeown 9’, Stevenson 21’ ; McHale 2’, Griffiths 55’, 88’, Benedictus 70’, C. McKeown 90+2’]
Another away classy win. Stay on the first with 10 goals and 3 conceded.

August 19th 2009
Dunfermline 3-3 pen 4-2 Dundee – Challange Cup 2nd rnd
[Bayne 38’, Phinn 83’, Burke 90’ ; R. Hart 4’, Evans 31’, Griffiths 88’]
Annoying lost and this is the anticlimax of our recent form.

August 22nd 2009
Dundee 1-4 Morton – First Division
[Griffiths pen 57’ ; Greacen 11’, Jenkins 45+3’, Masterton 60’, 79’]
Crazy loss in front of our own supporter. Unacceptable! We’re heavy favourite to win the game, but complacency turn everything good become disaster.

August 25th 2009
Morton 1-2 Dundee – Co-operative Cup 2nd rnd
[Greacen 37’ ; Kerr 57’, Griffiths 116’]
Well, I can say it’s a revenge for Morton. But seeing some poor performances, I might need to change the tactic.

August 29th 2009
Dundee 1-2 Raith Rovers
[Cameron 14’ ; Wilson 40’, Wedderburn 74’]
Another annoying home loss against the current 1st place holder. Although they are the 1st position, they aren’t that good I think.
My underestimation and my players complacency now become total disaster.
Currently on position three, with Raith and Morton climbing above us.
We failed to get a parent club, but fortunately we’ve got Cowdenbeath as feeder club.

TRANSFER IN:
Jean-Joel Perreier Doumbe (Free)
Yvan Tomatula (Free)
Corry Evans (Man Utd, Loan)
Daniel Lafferty (Celtic, Loan)
Gary Frewen (Free)

TRANSFER OUT:
Jim Lauchlan (Notts Co, £18k)
Graham Webster (Cowdenbeath, Loan)
David Cowan (Swindon, £24k)
Paul McHale (Hereford, £20k)

FIRST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE MONTH : Corry Evans (Dundee)
FIRST DIVISION YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH : Leigh Griffiths (Dundee)
FIRST DIVISION MANAGER OF THE MONTH : John McGlynn (Raith)

September 13th 2009
Farningham is a little disappointing for me. He didn’t do his job well. So I call him and John Holt to the board room to talk about this.
I offer mutual termination to Farningham, and offer Holt to fill Assistant Manager post.

...

January 10th 2010
Well, seeing our progress in league and also Asian Cup Qualifiers, I conclude that I should’ve learn from another manager...
We are heavy favorite to win the league, but now we’re on position 3, 3 points away from leader Raith Rovers, and trailing two points from Inverness CT.
So many unwanted draws in game we should’ve won it easily. I don’t know why, but I think in Scotland, a tactic can be easily cracked by the opponents as we fight each other four times a season!

Dundee-4.png

Irn-BruScottishFootballLeagueFirstD.png

Jakarta - Indonesia made a shock in Asian Cup Quals. after they managed to wipe-out Oman 4-2 in Jakarta...
Yes, that piece of newspaper I place in my desk to motivate me (to do the same). Get out of the failure dead pit isn’t that easy but I know I can do that.
Irfan Bachdim, a half-blood prince. It’s a fortunate I can find him, and also it’s a fortunate I recieved a white-in-black e-mail at the time I managed the national team.

Given a little transfer kitty made me a little mad these days. Fortunately, we’ve managed to sign some decent free agents.

perhaps in your point of view, 300k is a big amount...
but, by the way, I'll need your help, as I know you know better about Dundee than me, mate...

2009-2010 Season Review
DUN09-10fix.png

DUN09-10table.png

We nearly made it to the Scottish Premier League on 2009-2010 season. In the end, though, we finished 2nd – 6 points away from the champion Inverness CT.

IDN10fix.png

National Team of Indonesia also got some good performance in this season. We’ve managed to grab win by win and skyrocketed in the World’s Ranking. But, unfortunately, I found that the performance graph is going down by time. This can’t be good.

Whoa! With hard work and determination, Dundee promoted to the Scottish Premier League!!!
Led the league table with 71 points – 10 points clear from the 2nd rank Raith Rovers.
Struggled in the middle of the season, but fortunately, we can find a great tactic to win games. We’ve tasted the agony being in the 7th position for a week, but then with huge willpower we won the Scottish Division One!
Let me tell you a secret: when we’re in need of win, and the score still level until dying minutes, I changed the tactic. I substituted two midfielders: one with a striker, and one with a defender. And then I changed the formation into – OK, I mean it – Overloading 5-0-5!!!
We won three games in a row, with the winning goal in the last 10 minutes with that tactic.
Leigh Griffiths won the Player of The Year Award, and Top Scorer Award. I also won the Manager of The Year (and 3 Manager of The Months in a row before it) because of this season’s result.

Transfer Review
DUN09-10trans.png

On 09-10 season, we’ve managed to sign Adam Banas for £190k from Gornik Zabre, and Erik Paartalu for £10k from Morton. The money I spent is absolutely useful! These guys made a good contribution although we failed to gain promotion.
DUN10-11trans.png

10-11 season’s transfer is absolutely active. We’ve managed to sign many brilliant freebies, and we only spent £60k to buy good players (especially Petar Skuletic for £28k only). This is for the first time (###Author’s note: very first indeed) in my history that I received money from transfer much more than I spent (although, most of them are using monthly installment for 48 months…)!
DUN11-12trans.png

So far, we’ve signed two players on bosman. Let’s see what will be happened.

IDN11fix.png
I think 2011 is not a good year for Indonesian National Team…
3 matches so far, 2 losses, and one win.
Better luck someday, and for Brazil 2014!

IDNgraph000.png

Oh, almost forgot…
AC Milan announced link with Dundee in early start of 11-12 season!
That means I can get some decent loanees from the club that I really-really love!!!

DUNDEE
This season’s friendlies results are delighting. I really hope the form in the friendlies continues in the league.
DUN-trans1112sum.png

We’ve signed many decent freebies and only spent £16k for loaning Luca Ghiringhelli from AC Milan. We’ve raised fund for transfer around £1.5 millions (from last season) IF the buying teams out there paid full and not with 48 months installment.
DUN-fixt1112_01.png

We started the league nicely with a 3-0 win to Hearts, but unfortunately, after that we struggled to win. SPL is even harder than what I’ve thought.
In the Co-operative Insurance Cup, we’ve managed to advance to the Quarter Final (facing Motherwell tomorrow).
This year, the board wants the team to avoid relegation, reach the Quarterfinal of Scottish Cup and reach the Quarterfinal of Co-operative Insurance Cup (we made it!)

INDONESIA
The board of Indonesian national team wants us to be competitive in the FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifier AFC Section. I aim to qualify for World Cup, and to Qualify for Olympics (I control U23 too)
The first test for 2014 this year is: MALAYSIA – the absolute and eternal fierce-rival!
IDN-SOLvs.png

IDN-vsMTA.png

We didn’t do a good job when we faced Solomon Islands, but we did very nice against Malta. A good warm-up for 2014 Qualifier, though.
By the way, the number of half-blooded players to join Indonesian National Team raised from the first day I manage the national team.
Robbert Maruanaya, Bryon Kiefer, Justin Tahapary, and many more names are new names that reject the call-up on the first days I manage the team. Now, they’re the Garudas!!!

Match Report
October 3rd, 2010
IDN-vsMAS.png

Indonesia 0-0 Malaysia (FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifier AFC Section First Round 1st Leg)
Starting XI : Khoirul Huda, Maman Abdurrahman, Mahyadi Panggabean (Isnan Ali 76’), Robbert Maruanaya, Bryon Kiefer, Ponaryo Astaman (C) (Joas Siahaya 76’), Dominggus Lim-Duan, Charles Dissels (Ari 45’), Sergio van Dijk, Boaz Solossa
Combination of senior, young, and half-blood princes didn’t work at all in this match. Luck-lack is a problem too. We shot them 11 times (4 on target), and they just shot us 4 times (1 on target).
All in all, this match is good.

October 23rd 2010
IDN-MASvs.png

Malaysia 2-3 Indonesia (FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifier AFC Section First Round 2nd Leg)
Starting XI : Khoirul Huda, Maman Abdurrahman (C), Octavius Maniani, Milan Berck Beelenkamp, Robbert Maruanaya, Bryon Kiefer (Nova Arianto 79’), Dominggus Lim-Duan (Muhammad Bachtiar 60’), Charles Dissels, Irfan Bachdim (Ponaryo Astaman 45’), Sergio van Dijk, Bambang Pamungkas.
Finally, Bambang find his form. He scored two and breaks the national top goal scorer all time with 25 goals!
We still wait for the 2nd round draw. Here are the 1st round results:
FIFAWorldCupAFCQualifyingSection.png

I really hope Indonesia won’t face Iran or North Korea in the 2nd round.

great story mate, keep up the hard work. i really like how many screen shots you've used :-)

thanks mate :D

to be honest, I wondered how slow this page was loaded because of the images, and people blame me for that.

ok, I have a bad news:
one day when fm.exe starts, there's an error notification.
the error reads something like:
"xml parsing error not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1 of *****.xml"
then, I can't load my save, but I still can load another.

uh, sorry for talking something out of topic
anybody know how to fix it?
I really want to continue the game!!!

---------- Post added at 12:39 PM ---------- Previous post was yesterday at 08:04 PM ----------

anybody know how to solve that?
please........

I got that once, and had to reload the game, but there might be another way , just wait for a bit for someoneelses opinion. . .. .
