Striker Cant Score. Help !

Broke Celtics record transfer fee by signing Guidetti for 7M plus add-ons which could take it to 9.5M on performance fees. in 8 appearances he's scored 2. in most matches he is lucky if he registers a shot on target. I'm playing him as a poacher. behind him are Samaras and Boeriggter playing as wingers, Commons as an advanced playmaker and Brown and Stephan Johansen and CM's. Guidetti is loaded with creativity behind him in the midfield but he's not getting shots away at all. I'm really struggling with Celtic in a league where it would be harder not to 'walk' the league by about 30 points considering the talent i have at my disposal. if it where not for the amount of penalties, free-kick and awkward corner kick goals i have scored i woudve been sacked already. Help me please !

start off with by telling him him you have faith in him to get back to scoring ways 5 games later tell him youwill consider dropping him if his form dont improve that should sort it for you

I think I read somewhere that poachers were broken on this game and didn't work properly? might have been a previous update though :S I dunno i've just never used a poacher since I read about it

Poachers do work, but you need to have people feeding them direct AND short passes. If you are playing him upfront he needs a high work rate or you're stuffed mate.

Watch a game on ''comprehensive'' highlights to see if he's getting the service, and if he is, is he shooting wide, at the keeper, too weak, too much power, coming deep too much... etc etc... his PPM's could be destroying your efforts to play him in that role.

Post some SS of Guidetti's Attributes, Form Stats (i.e shots, shots on target, key passes) and PPMs?

Guidetti still not scoring. just got knocked out of scottish cup semi final by a 10 man ross county

Update: Guidetti scores twice in a very important game against Dundee Utd. Two great poachers goals. this take his tally to 5 for the season.

try changing his role i never use the poacher role always advanced forward fm is a game where you cant rely on 1 supply of goals you need wingers or inside forwards with a decent composure attribute to fill in when your striker isnt scoring

Try arranging a friendly against a tiny club, play Guidetti and the players that feed him, rest the remainder of your team.
If he scores a bunch his confidence will be boosted and better performances should follow.

That's too expensive for a striker in this level. You can try to buy Rescaldani who is an Argentinian Target Man and just cost your 2m around.

He was very good for my Feyenoord side in the 2nd and in the 3rd season, scoring a total of 54 goals in 74 games played. He is a natural advanced forward, though, and I always played him that way.
However, he did have some moments of crisis (4-5 games playing like ****) and constantly complained for my fines. I ended up loaning him out at the beginning of the 4th season.
