Strikers that are too idiotic?

My Strikers (Cavani and Walcott/Neymar) will never pass if they have a 2 against 1 chance against the goalkeeper, they will always shoot themselfs and end up with no goal.

Why they do that? anyway to change this?

Match preparation > Teamwork > Very High then move it down to average when it is as high as it can go

if you want a better answer you may want to tell us your formation and where they play in the formation probably going to guess that you have a 4 - 5 - 1 formation in that case set the the players on the wings as Inside forwards and tweak some of the settings in the advanced player tactics screen - like telling them to cross often and stop having long shots etc best thing to do is just play around with it :]
