Now, there are more advanced tactics being created but for anyone looking for a simple way to get started, I don't see this as a bad place to start.

I took the Guardiola/Barcelona tactic from the Theroems Appendix and had a go with Nottingham Forest. So far, results can be seen below.

*I know that it is the early stages and things can go pear shaped but for a novice user, it may be worth trying*

The only signing I had made was Olivier Bernard to fill the problem left back and Danny Rose on loan for left wing although I have just brought in Kiki Musampa as cover. The result for me has been flowing football and Earnshaw bagging 4 in 2 (make that 5 now, I am 1-0 up against Watford)

If anyone is interested to see if the tactic is worth persevering with I will keep an update going. It may go ******* upwards, who knows!

I have proceeded a few games further and in the league, all is going well with the only blip occuring in the League Cup against Sheff Wed.

Since the last update, Robbie Earnshaw broke his ankle after scoring 6 in 3 league games so I went out and signed Marlon Harewood for £650,000 as a replacement, my only non free purchase of the season.

Yeah ive had a little go of them because im a big fan of the way Barca play.What mentality do you play? Attacking,Standard etc
 
I have been using Standard which has been working well although if I am chasing the game I tend to go for Control along with Retain Possession. It seems to have a calming effect on them and the build ups seem more thought out.

I was 2-0 down against Sheff Wed at one point and employed this as well as Exploit The Flanks and we won 3-2 although I have tried that from the outset and it makes them a bit loose.
 
Ive just give them a try with my AFC Wimbledon side and won 2 on the spin 3-2,i used standard in both. :D
 
What is the theroems appendix? And how do you get tactics from it?

Imagine that, AFC Wimbledon playing like Barcelona! If so, this could be a tactic for everyone providing they implement it just like the Theorem says.

If anyone is unsure exactly how to do it, I don't mind uploading it ready made for people to use.

Here you go, no promises that it will work for everyone but please don't post back after one game and say it doesn't work. ^^)

Do you think there are any other tactics in the theorems appendix that can be used the same way?
 
I haven't tried any of the others myself yet but I see no reason why not. I like the look of the Wenger one.
 
I've tried it with Benevento and it's simply brilliant!! Won in a historic 6-0 to Perugia in Serie C1 and 2-1 to NAPOLI in a friendly!!
 
Glad to hear that Samir. Just installing the new patch now and going to see if there are any differences.
