Hi guys.

I'm having a really hard time with Dortmund, especially Away.

Tried countless tactics / formations etc but I just can't find any sort of consistency.

Anyone has been playing with Dortmund? Would appreciate some tips or maybe another tactic to try! I'm really giving up hope to be honest.

Thanks in advance.

Ttf vortex v4 for home and away games. Did you try it?

Btw wrong thread

Klopp knows what you are talking about :P

Lol good one solounamigo :D But this year, in real life, Dortmund are 2nd so not so bad.

First season I managed a 3rd place finish & this season (2nd one) I bought some players like Volland, Vela, Max. Meyer & Gabriel Barbosa. Lost Reus to Real Madrid though.

Away is very very though even though I believe I have a strong team.

Nobody plays with Dortmund! I'm just kidding.

I don't think this is something special for your team. Many players, with different teams, complained that they having difficult times away or at home. This is not team related, but tactic related.

I suggest, if you are against a stronger team to play counter-attack with a defensive formation as 4-1-4-1, or you could use Zyndar's Deadly Circle Counter (442). If you play against a weaker team you can play control with your best formation, but be prepared against counter-attacks, or you could use Tweebier's 2233 Control.

Wrong thread mate.

Sorry if it's the wrong thread - but may I ask why?

I mean, I posted here so that maybe the Tactical Gurus who post / upload their tactics can help me a bit. That's all. I see other posts similar to mine in this thread so I don't actually see anything wrong with it.

Anyway, I apologise once again :)

Lol Dobrin. Tbh, I don't normally play with Dortmund but with Liverpool. However, given that in real life Klopp took over at Liverpool just recently, I decided to leave him there in FM because I was feeling guilty taking his place. I opted for Dortmund because I believe they're a good team which the same Klopp built. Also, given that the last season Klopp was there it was very difficult, I thought it might be a good challenge.

Thanks for all the advice - I really appreciate it. Yes, it seems like many people are finding it difficult especially Away.

At the moment I'm using TFF's Vortex & managed to get some good results with it. Won 2-1 vs B Munich Away for example & was losing 1-0. We're currently 1st in the Bundesliga. However, after the winter break, we're not performing as we were before & lost a few points :( Now I'm considering TFF's Titan because from what I read, it looks quite a good tactic.

Cheers!

Ok, then it seems you are on the right track. Keep first place yours and win the championship, that should make Bayern go crazy.

Lol yea ... I really hope I can do it :)

Thanks mate.

I did manage to win the Bundesliga Dobrin :D & I must say, Bayern went really crazy like you said because they sacked Guardiola afterwards! Poor Pep! They even offered me the vacant job in the summer but obviously, I rejected it. I wasn't interested - my main aim is to wake up the sleeping giant i.e. Borussia Dortmund.

It was close though ... finished with the same points as Bayern but had a slightly better goal difference!

Like I said in my previous post, I used TFF's Vortex V4 mainly but I also used a Strikerless formation (by Guido) Away from home which I believe is a very good tactic. This is the link for those who want to try it: Counter-Pressing In FM16 | Strikerless

However, I'm still not convinced with Vortex V4 & I'm exploring other tactics this season. We'll see how it goes!
