Struggling with tactic and player ratings

hey guys i'm new to this forum so bear with me.

I'm after advice on getting the most out of my formation. I'm playing with man utd and i am using the man u 4-2-4 tactic posted on here which works now and then, but i want to know why all my players struggle to reach a 7.0 rating at best in all my games? what do i need to adjust to raise my ratings?

Also i see so many people posting their great tactics so what tweaks and adjustments do i need to make to create my very own super tactic?

Any help for a frustrated football manager fanatic is much appreciated!

you could download the tactical theroems, i dont often make my own tactics but they helped last year

hey thanks for the reply. i use a lot of the ready made tactics but would really like to understand the technical side of tactics and how each setting works . its more of an interest to experiment with my own style of play rather than using other peoples.

thanks i've read that and it did help a lot. what i'm looking for is explanations for each setting and how it affects game results. Things like adjusting the slide bars from defence to attack, why set run from deep etc. also how much does setting the player roles and duties affect the formation stability?

Unfortunately it doesn't cover sliders this year as it's more focused on the tactic creator but you could try reading last years version for slider information.
