Just wondering when people do their subs or a good time to do them?

-do people sub a player soon as they get a knock?
- do people use like 65 % condition in a game and then sub
- sub at half time

not quite sure when a good time is to do subs..

If it's a "orange" knock i always sub them or take them off. Sub at 60 ish min depending on the game. Might sub before or later if someone is playing really good/bad. Try to sub when somone go below 70% as the risk for injury seems to increase alot.

Wouldn't say i have a preference. If the team is playing well i will only sub if a player is exhausted (65ish or lower). If someone picks up a knock it generally depends on the players performance level. If they are still contributing then i keep them on at least until half time, almost regardless of condition. If i notice they are making mistakes etc. after the knock i will sub them, almost regardless of condition.

Everything being equal i tend not to look to sub before the hour mark unless i need a change of shape or someone is playing particularly poorly.

I'm sure there's no right way to go about it but for me:

Knocks: see if his condition improves, if not, sub

Condition: I try to take players out around 70%, if the player is performing well, however, I keep him on until up to 65%. Especially for centre mids, for whatever reason, I find a CM having a good game will continue to play well (or even better) even when his condition drops below 70

Performance: I may sub a player having a very bad game at half time, or any point after.

Tactical: Whenever I see fit, but can't see myself burning a sub for tactical reasons before 60-70 minutes into the game

Depends on the game in question.

Generally look to make a sub around the 60min mark. Poor performance or fatigue.

70-80mins tactical change if 1-0 up away from home against a top team.
