Took spurs to a 3rd place finish in my 1st season only losing league by 6 points. Anyway I used a 4-2-3-1 tactic with 2 CWB 2CB 2BWM 2IF 1AP And 1AF now I went 20 games unbeaten in all comps then all off a sudden 2nd season I can't win for sh*t. Team instructions seemed to work fine as I was dominating games with about 15 shots and 60% possession. Do you think the AI have Sussed out my tactics?
 
yes, just like IRL teams will adapt to how you play against them, do what i do, instead of having the 3 ready made tactics for like attack, counter & defend during game play instead have 3 different styles of tactics but with similar style to your own tactic.

for instant - 4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-2-1, narrow 4-2-3-1 or something else
 
You able to upload your tactics? How do spurs play IRL I have them fluid attacking?
 
I will try a 4-1-2-2-1 see if that will sort out the problem. When I switch to attacking and fluid I seem to control the game better. Soldado has been poor for me. Don't know how to play him. Same with mitrovic.

3 place with Totenham is failure in first season reality is title or at least 2 place.

to win title you just need to sign Baines and that is it

How can you possibly say that's a faluire with spurs? When have they ever finished in the top 2? Never! Man city arsenal Chelsea are miles ahead off them in terms off high profile clubs. I think getting spurs into champs league and a 3rd place finish is brilliant for them.

lol FM and real football are 2 different things

even with worst team in league every exp Fm player can finish in top 4.

for example in Fm 14 I finished 2 as Stoke and 4 as Hull.

you can see plenty topics here on forum where people are in top four with low clubs.
 
Yeh I know what you mean mate as I seen stoke finish 3rd in a season a while back. But what am trying to make a point off is everyone seems to be having second season syndrome. Am guessing the patch is still messing up that tactics or the AI just suss out ur tactics after the 1st season?

I would agree with vujevic mate, Spurs in FM are bordering on awesome, winning the title with them in first season with 1 or 2 decent signings is easily attainable.

I agree with you IRL that would be a huge success, but some of the ability the players have on FM changes it.
 
I just don't get how the tactic I had 1st season nearly won me the league then 2nd season I can't get a win if I tried buying it. It makes me mad. I personally think the best formation is a 4-2-3-1 for spurs but the AI seem to suss it out after the second season. What would you guys say is a steady tactic with spurs. Or what tactic is ur most successful?
