As my beloved Newcastle I started the season strong, being in 1st place after 8 games and having thrashed Arsenal and defeated a full strength Chelsea with my squad... But then ridiculousy my team goes to ****, they struggle angainst weak teams we destroyed early season and get 5-6 goals knocked past us by the top 6. I'm currently sitting 6th in the PL, taking 2 points from my last 10 games. Anyone know how I can stop this ridiculous run? I've fined my 'keeper for being ****, had harsh words with my strikers Babacar and Lukaku and told the team what I thought of them post match... What can I do?

Maybe try changing your tactic. The AI get used to your tactic and know how to defeat it.

Try tweaking it or just change it. Hope it helps

Be more nice! If morale is down being harsh on them will make it worse. Encourage them instead of shouting!

I Have this problem so much, you just need to keep trying if they keep losing try a new tactic I made a tactic which got me 13 straight wins at the start of the season but then 7 straight losses at the end which dropped me from 4th to 7th and the next season was just a tactical experiment season and hopeful with a few awesome signings i've found the right one. Keep go to backroom advice they might have "Formation Advice" which helps alot they other key thing is patience and trial and error..

so if you play a year or two with the same tactic they can counter you? does alternating the tactic solve this? (do they forget the old one if you use the one you had 2 years ago?)

Yes the AI does get used to a certain tactic over a period of time, little adjustments to a tactic can be perfect to ensure pro-longed success, maybe try looking at the opponent scout report and look at the times they are most vulnerable to concede and then set your team to overload during this time to try and take advantage of the game

Finally got over it with a 1-0 win over Swansea, but It looks like I'm dropping again, I'll switch to the back up tactic and see how things change. Unfortunately its too late to attempt a CL qualification so I'll settle for Europa League. On another note destroyed Man U 4-1 :P

When you do have success such as that win praise the players for it, morale does play a key part in player performance during games.

I always praise for victories, for a light loss I say dissappointed, for a heavy defeat I choose the Angry option.

Use a 4-5-1 against the bigger teams ;). Don't be too harsh against the bigger teams, you are not expected to win, so don't go angry, as it will disrupt the harmony.

The bigger teams surprisingly haven't caused me any problems, I think my only loss was to Chelsea and unfairly to Man U (they just fouled whenever I threatened >.<). But have used the 4-5-1 afew times in tougher matches, like Norwich ;)
