I have a player in my squad (a regen) who developed very well and unexpectedly because all the reports pointed out that he wasn't going to be that good. I kept him as a reserve and he actually become a good player.

He was a winger, I trained him to be a right defender (where he usually played) and then I trained him as a striker because he had good ofensive stats and I needed a striker (This around Fev, March).

It was all good. But after the next season started all of his attributes dropped aprox. 2 points! Expect flair, determination and agression if I recall correctly[FONT=&quot].

The picture shows some of the stats.

Why did this happened? It was the first time it happened to me in any FM.

As I understand through some posts about retraining, when you do it, the CA requirements for some attributes are raised, so some stats get lower.

How old is he as Shevchenko's stats in my save have suddenly plumited!

That actually makes sense lol. But this is so odd. I'll never train a defender into a striker again!

Really? He's 26, maybe he'll get good again hehe

No. I didn't change anything. Only trained more positions, but he kept the stats for a while (months) after learning ST (the last one he trained).

His CA reached PA, and he couldnt develop more, so his stats droped.

Tell him he's been **** in training, see if it works.

It's cause you're training him in a new position. It'll go back up after he gets used to it.

So his CA dropped. That makes sense? If his CA reached his PA he should kept the stats, not lose them. 2 points in every stat is REALLY BAD

His CA and PA were the same, and he was trained in a new position (which takes CA points), so they've gotta come from somewhere (his stats). It usually evens out after a few months though, when CA is recalculated by the game + he's accomplished in the position

Completely forgot about that. I need to be more careful with training new positions...

Thanks for the help everyone.

Yes it make sense, if their CA can increase, then it's logical that their CA can drop.

I just asked that because you said the CA dropped because it reached the PA and he couldn't develop anymore.

No, it's fine mate :), I'm just explaining my thoughts :)
