hey guys if i say went into FM09 data editor and enabled a sugar daddy with say for instance Wigan, what exactly would happen, would they get immediately taken over by a tycoon or would Dave whelan all of a sudden become a Abramovich or Al-Mubarak?

No your current board would have Tycoon status,you would get more money in transfer windows.You wont really see the benefit till the 2nd season of your game.

Man City and Hoffenheim both have them. Every month or two they plow some more money into the accounts (though not onto the transfer budget)

Well Man City obviously.It can happen to any club though during the game if the owners put the club up for sale.
