what instruction will be handy when applying overload tactics?? play out of defence or thump the ball into the box??

Thump it into the box, but make sure you have players in the box who can make the most of it. Ideally at least one strong, tall Target Man and a Poacher or Advanced Forward to pick up any scraps.

Playing out of defence takes time and gives the opposition the chance to close down your defenders and midfielders while you're undermanned at the back.

but when i select thump it in the box.....players are more inclined to clearing the bal for opposition throw in's and that causes my team to loose the ball.....even when there is no pressure on a defender he just heads it out of play....and when i loose the ball so often how can i overload??
