Sulking Backup keeper

Anyone have a problem when there back up keeper sulks about lack of first team football.
Carlo Nash done this for me, So I sold him and got Franck Grandel on a free. Now he's doing it.
He has played in my Euro Cup group games and league cup match, but still sulks.

This is an annoying thing about the game, its obvious Howard is way better and he's backup, plus because the guy had not played football in over a year being Howards back up is not bad.
 
change his squad status to backup or just get a youngster with squad status of hot prospect
 
Just done that with grandel, didn't work, i have josh lambo hes 18 but on loan at blackpool getting first team experience. When January comes I'll sell Grandel, clubs are interested I think I may get 2 million for him, then I'll look for a temp back up keeper on loan till the end of season.

What I think it is, it depends on the status you say they are when you sign them, I had to change Grandels status to Rotation to afford his wage. So I think if you sign some on saying there back up from the start they wont sulk.
But like what I've done, sign someone who thinks they will be involved with sqaud rotation only to find out they are back up they sulk.
Makes sense now actaully
 
Yeah, it's difficult... I say make him backup and also play him in all reserve games. It helps. I mean, also put him in the league once in a while, in games which you've already won or games in which you will slaughter the other team.

But it is difficult, getting that balance, which is why, at Man Utd, I always sell off Kuzczuak, 'cuz he sulks like ****...
 
Most of the back up keepers I have signed always seem to sulk no matter what team I have used. Does my head in.

its a shame to have to sell kuzczuak hes a good keeper too, i'll try starting him reserve games, I want to keep Grandel but I don't keep sulking players long
 
Back up Keepers are always yapping,even when they know they are back up.I think SI should have a look at it for the next patch.
 
yeah fact is you cant p[lay 2 keepers at once, and rotating keepers is retarded, its hardly done in real and we should not have to it on the game.
 
I get this all the time. I bought Igor Akinfeev in my first season for £20million! I'm about 9 seasons in and get like 2 new back-ups a season cos they are always unhappy but no way am i gonna drop akinfeev!
 
Ive had it with all my backup keepers, even though i play them in league cup games and whenever i play easy opponents they all complain.

Just ignore them or tell them to wait for there chance...
 
Really annoying.. And as a result other clubs keep offering me crappy goalkeepers all the time:@
 
If I sign a player where i had to change his contract details to either get him to sign or to afford the wage, once they sign I offer a new contract with their real squad status. Works a treat to keep them happy.

only if you don't mind paying out a little more in sign on fees.
 
I had the same, then he went to the press moaning about first team football so i told him to shut up and he only backup and has to be patient and he apoligised to me and now is a happy bunny being back up keeper.
 
its happening again, my back up keeper feels he should be afirst tema regular, but the first keeper is way better than him, so why would he think that
****** lol
 
**** OFF CARLO NASH, you should not be a first team regular, Tim Howard is twice the keeper you are lol
 
yeah it is annoying. usually if you play them in cup games they quieten down. if not then bring him on as sub or something strange but it may work.
 
Def anoying, but that's how life is.

Any back-up keeper do it in irl too, nobody only wants to sit on the bench.
 
i only use 1 keeper and use my youth or reserve if they get injured
 
yer even when i sign them as backup role they moan
 
I always sign a crappy keeper on loan that way they wont moan.
