Samir Nasri with his new club Manchester City: Zimbio Pictures

So after two months of transfers the transfer window was closed shut at 11PM (according to British time) and end it for another 5 months where it'll be re-opened for another session of big money moves, minor loans being updated and possibly other last-minute add-ons into the team as we had witnessed yesterday. Raul Meireles made an eleventh hour transfer to London in the form of Chelsea to re-unite with ex-F.C. Porto manager Andre Villas-Boas, Yossi Benayoun completed a loan transfer to Arsenal, joining up with his team-mates and becoming the club's fourth signing in just a couple days. Liverpool re-signed Craig Bellamy for him to return to Anfield after a four-year hiatus and Scott Parker finally got his wishes by transferring to the northern part of London, to White Hart Lane in more specifics, after playing less than half a month in the npower Championship with West Ham United.

But with all the trauma and panic that comes with it, are you happy with the transfers your club have made? Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs fans may have a word or two to say about it, but I personally would have to say, after witnessing the performances from what seems to be a new-look Manchester United, I am very happy. Albeit the rumours and suggestions of Wesley Sneijder to us have been quelled by himself and the club for a long time now, we have a decent enough team now that can go on without him - in spite of the worrying aloofness of Manchester City after purchasing Samir Nasri.

Are you happy?

Real Zaragoza squad is still rubbish, but given our current situation, and the two last players who have joined the club in the last hours, that i have just known about, I can say i'm slightly happy.

Hum te tum tum. Difficult.

I'd say my expectations for the window have been pretty much fulfilled, but since my expectations weren't stellar that doesn't necessarily mean I'm happy about it. This was always going to be a window of cutting and saving - our wage bill was astronomical. Luke Young, a 32 year old utility full-back, was on 60k p/w - and as such it's pretty much as expected. The obvious departure of Ashley Young was sad, but also gave us a nice chunk of money (and kudos to United for not attempting to rip us off with stupidly low offers) which was added to by the more surprising sale of that Downing ******** (unlike United, Liverpool were rather more insulting with their offers) and the cutting of quite a few fringe players.

I think, however, we may have gone just a tad TOO far with the cutting. Our first-team senior squad is scarily thin, and the youngsters are going to have to step up and have a big year. The people we've brought in to replace them, however, have generally been of a high standard. Shay Given is still a top 'keeper, Alan Hutton is a mercurial full-back that McLeish knows well, N'Zogbia was one of the most impressive players from the bottom half of the Prem, and Enda Stevens will bolster both our left-back position and our Irish contingent. Couple this with the revival in form of Richard Dunne and Stephen Warnock, and we look fairly well-placed to push on with a much more solid defence than last year.

I think I'm a lot happier now than I was three days ago. Jermaine Jenas, whilst hardly a stellar player, brings endeavour and energy off the bench as well as a wealth of experience, and Alan Hutton fills the hole at right-back which was being filled with part-timers or the ageing Young. One thing I am unhappy about is the loaning out of Jean Deux Makoun, which has ****** me off no end. It makes no sense to me to loan him out and replace him with Jermaine Jenas... never mind. We've strengthened two of the places most at risk (right-back and central midfield, with the wing being the one unfilled) and will have to rely on youngsters and part-timers to fill the other gaps.

In other words, I'm satisfied enough.

Well, first came Manzano. He's very good for us now. Then came all the ****** rumors. Ufalusi, Reyes, Forlán to Galatasaray. Reyes stayed, Ujfa has gone to Galata. Then came Agüero and De Gea. Agüero to Manchester City. I hate the way, he left the team. De Gea was fine, wish luck to him. Eduardo Salvio came back from loan, he did well at Benfica. Hope he'll be back in his finest form. Asenjo came from his Málaga loan. Then even Chelsea signed Courtois, and we've got him on loan. Once again. So, there is three good goalkeepers. Then there was some surprising signings. Julio Alves: just came, sent out on loan, and he has gone to Besiktas on a full-time. I was sad cause of Elías' departure to Sporting Lisbon. Juan Valera gone to Getafe. I liked him, was a good backup, and he could play as fullback, midfielder and winger. But he hasn't played much matches. Ahh, before I forget, we have signed Miranda too. I don't really know much about him. Yet. Sílvio, the fullback from Braga is ours. He played well in the friendlies, and Europa League too. Tiago is there too, now on a full-time contract. I like him, but he didn't do much. Gabi from Zaragoza. Don't know why. Pointless transfer for me. Anyway he isn't that bad. Adrián came from Deportivo too, he's playing very well for us, although I couldn't even see him vs. Osasuna. It was just like he isn't on the pitch... Then there are our big transfers: Arda Turan, Falcao, and Diego. I'm pretty sure you know a lot about them. :D
Rúben Micael sent to loan to Zaragoza(he was in the Falcao deal). Ahh, and Pizzi. Didn't heared of him, but now I've seen some videos, compilations, and he did something really. We'll see how he plays.
