Mission Impossible Accomplished
After years of relegation and living in the shadow of rivals Newcastle United, Sunderland Football Club have completed the impossible by doing the quadruple. Winning the Euro Super Cup 5-4 against a strong Manchester City side. After reaching the final of the League Cup many beleived this could be their year, but after a defeat against Liverpool 2-0, dreams where crushed many beleived this was a turning point and their season would turn into a nightmare. Shearer still beleived in this team and after guiding them into the Euro Cup and FA Cup final it was down to Sunderland players them selfs to win the league. With 4 games to go Sunderland could win the league against Blackburn. Sunderland won the game 2-0 and the celevration started, the 4000 away fans chanted Alan Shearers name after the game and the celebration went long into the night. Sunderland had done the Double! Then came Athletico Madrid at The New Anfield. 70000+ people inside to watch to great teams go head to head, Sunderland amazingly won the match 4-0 and completed the Triple. Shearer was fast becoming a legend in the eyes of Sunderland. With a full house in London Wembly witnessed history being made, Sunderlands first ever quadruple after winning 2-1 after extra time.
Shearer to leave?
News has broke out that Alan Shearer and Naill Quinn are having a meeting dicussing Shearers future at the club. Many wanting Shearer to stay on as manager but media have him favourites to take over at Newcastle United. After hours of discussion and thousand of fans gavering outside SOL. Shearer and Quinn showed their face and announced "Alan will be staying on as manager". A big roar from the sunderland fans as they heard the news they all wanted to hear. Shearer will be giving 83 million to spend on news players and Quinn wants to be challenging for the title again.
One for the Future?
Sunderland have completed the signing of 15 year old Ryan Heylen or a fee of 140k. Shearer beleives Heylen is already good enough to break into the first team at Sunderland and has stated he will get some games under his belt this season. Heylen stated in his interview this is a dream come true. To be playing for a premierleague club at 15 is anybodys dream but when i heard the news i thought April 1st had came early.
