After reaching the final of the League Cup many beleived this could be their year, but after a defeat against Liverpool 2-0, dreams where crushed many beleived this was a turning point and their season would turn into a nightmare. Shearer still beleived in this team and after guiding them into the Euro Cup and FA Cup final it was down to Sunderland players them selfs to win the league. With 4 games to go Sunderland could win the league against Blackburn. Many wanting Shearer to stay on as manager but media have him favourites to take over at Newcastle United. After hours of discussion and thousand of fans gavering outside SOL. Shearer will be giving 83 million to spend on news players and Quinn wants to be challenging for the title again.

One for the Future?

Sunderland have completed the signing of 15 year old Ryan Heylen or a fee of 140k. Shearer beleives Heylen is already good enough to break into the first team at Sunderland and has stated he will get some games under his belt this season. Heylen stated in his interview this is a dream come true. To be playing for a premierleague club at 15 is anybodys dream but when i heard the news i thought April 1st had came early.
