Today sunderland have announced the hiring of former irish footballer of the year ciaran race as there manager, in his first press confrence mr race stated that he would like to bring fluid flowing all out attack football to the stadium of light, with a starting budget of 12.5 million pounds this raises questions of who's going to have to leave before he can bring in his wealth of targets in mind. its been reported that he has enquired about gignac to strengthen his strike force. with race inherting such a weak squad there will have to be a lot of transfers to turn his relegation strugglers into top title contenders.

Race signs Gignac and Gilberto Silva for a 8.5 million and 3.4 million respectively. Race is said to be delighted after signing gignac and has stated that gignac will fit right in with his current squad and cant wait to see the French man in action. The signing of Gilberto silva has also brought a wealth of experience to the sunderland side as the new manager tries to steear th wearside team away from the loom of relegation.

Sunderland have also signed veteran striker palermo beating off competition from teams such as barcelona and athletico madrid, he has also signed hot striker milevski, to do this he's had to offload midfielders kieran richardson and steed malbranque boith to man city for 4.5 million each and is currently trying to offload jones and possibly darren bent
