After Garry Monk led Swansea to a 17th place finish his contract was terminated and a rookie by the Name of Jay Plester was Appointed Swansea wanted a young and hungry manager so they brought in this young Birmingham born Manager. Huw Jenkins (Swansea Chairman) told Sky Sports "It's an honor to take a manager who has potential to be a great manager when looking for a new manager we wanted a young charismatic man and out of all our applicants he wanted this job more the rest he has our full backing and a 4 million pound transfer budget we will be put in place to help him achieve a top half finish"
