Swansea City ponder making a bid for Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale.

Awful Goalkeeper. Very error prone, silly mistakes, and cost us alot of points when on loan. Certainly not up to a standard in the Premier League or to replace De Vries. Swansea are better off going for another goalkeeping target...

Now now. He may have been poor for you, but the Stockdale that played for Fulham this season was very good in his appearances. His delivery is very good, better than Schwarzer's, he's not the best in claiming crosses but that comes with experience and that's what he could get if he goes on LOAN to Swansea. Fulham has only lost once when he has been in goal, and it was that 1-0 defeat against Liverpool where Paintsil managed to kick the ball out of Stockdale's gloves into the goal. Surely if he was that awful, he wouldn't have been called up to the England squad not only once, but twice?

2012/13 Fulham no. 1

But, there is a real lack of Quality English Keeping. We have Hart and Foster and thats about it. He played a few good games in the PL, behind a solid defence. I doubt Capello or his goalkeeping coaches seen his inconsistent, error prone performances. He's not good enough to be a PL Number 1 yet, he still needs 2 or 3 seasons to develop fully. Once he gets the errors every 2 matches out of his system, then he'll be great, but certainly not a PL Number 1 in 2012.

i thought he done a pretty decent job for Fulham when he was called upon last season.

I thought Swansea were after that Polish keeper...Sandomierski or something
