Swap Deal + Cash

Hi. I'm new to the site and this is my first post so, please be easy.

Anyway. I am in my first season as Manchester united. Fernando Gago is up for sale from Real Madrid. I was wondering to do a swap deal with them for him. This would include Michael Carrick going the other way + £500K or something.

Since Carrick is 29 turning 30, and Gago is 24, I was thinking this deal would be good, as I already have Owen Hargreaves and Gago is quiet similar to Carrick and younger I believe.

I also have Paulo Henrique who I have heard can play the defensive playmaker role. I'm not sure about this though.

What do you guys think?

I'm not really looking for an extra CM. I was just thinking of swapping Carrick for Gago since the latter is younger and similar too Carrick I believe?

agreed.. my player always reject the contract offer from another club whenever I tried to swap them =.= kinda irritating doh..

Players Swap is really dificult in FM. They rarely accept, unless they are interested in the player

and even then its rarely beneficial to you, its never a cheap price which is so annoying.

Player exchanges are pretty easy if the team you are trading with want one of your players.. You can often get a good deal out of it. But I doubt Real Madrid want Carrick so this deal is probably never going to happen. Best thing to do is offer the player out to clubs, then try negotiate something with the clubs that are interested in your player, if one of those clubs are RM then you're pretty lucky.
