.tac file

ok so help me please.
I was downloading a tactic and I opened it with winRAR.
now this tactic is a winrar file, not .tac so I can't use it.
is there anyway to get it back to .tac?

It's because it's packed, you need to download and install a program like 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/ then when you have installed it, you just right click on the .rar file and choose unpack files... hope it helps

on 7zip it doesnt say to unpack it,...

ive already said winrar doesnt open the file, but its saved as a winrar file and not a .tac which I need it to be
i added .tac to the end of it but it doesnt worK!!

can you link to site from where you downloaded it, maybe i can download it and try myself?

its a tactic on here, it wouldnt download on firefox and i selected to open it with winrar
and now its a winrar tactic, even when i delete and re-download.

hmm. sorry man, i dont think i can help...

Im not getting this, did you unpack it but the file is still associated with winrar? If it is, delete the file association by going to My Computer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types - Find .TAC if its associated with winrar, delete it.
