Tactcs without using wingers

First of all hello to all fellow FMers,first post here.

I've recently started a game with Hapoel Haifa from the Israeli Premier League and I'm in the 2nd season.
First season I've finished 2nd (predicted 10th) and won the State Cup.
I'm using a 4-1-2-1-2 with no wingers and it's working but the problem is I'm half way through the 2nd season and really struggling in mid table main problem being scoring as my defense is pretty solid.
My question is if there are any good tactics that use no wingers because I've been searching here around and still haven't found one.

Thank you for the quick reply I will defiantly try it out and report back whether it helped or not.
 
is it advisable to have all formations with no wingers? (im everton who have a diamond midfield which picks itself but i can use baines and vrsaljko as wing-backs) it is appropriate to have a tall target man like lacina traore despite no wingers? does this mean i will have to play more direct? cheers.
