Looking for some experienced tactician's help in developing my tactic, developed La Masia 4-3-3 for 11.2 and it has 8k+ downloads but it is utterly useless on 11.3 so I started developing its replacement as my primary style/tactic.
This is pretty much a diamond in the rough and I was hoping to get it tested with different variations of it already templated below. The idea is keep the passing short and keep the tempo quick with no players allowed to run with the ball except the front three, the idea is that the tempo and passing is nice and simple with the emphasis on keeping the ball but at a high tempo then eventually working it into the box. It is working to the extent of I have played 15 (without holiday simming through it) with Porto and it is producing results and limiting the opposition to long shots but I just get the feeling it is not right somehow.
Midfield shape is a DM who is comfortable on the ball but just plays simple passes with the littlest of creative freedom and mentality defensive (Every option rarely except through balls sometimes), then the wingbacks/center back setup works excellently at restricting the opposition but when the 2 CMs get it they are losing the ball too often for my liking despite one being on short and one being on mixed passing. The real worry for me is the front 3 AMR AML STC create excellent chances but blast wide/waste/not cross the ball. I have experimented with passing direct-mixed for the front 3 perhaps passing short would be better?
Hulk as an inside forward gets a certain license and his long shots are on rarely but that doesn't stop him running at the opposition defence (Working on his composure in training...Its at 9). Then Falcao with instructions of passing to feet simply squanders half the chances created, and again I am not 100 pct how to balance the passing-creative license. The pressure is excellent off the ball except for the odd exposing behind the wingbacks but thats what my 'Euro' test version is meant to do, basically the pass completion average is around 78 pct but the La Masia used to avg 62 pct possession across a season's games and 83 pct completion. I don't know if its because my wingbacks are not offering an outball enough to keep the ball or if my front 3 are running into people too much. My goal for attacking is simple, the CM's create some space and draw defenders/midfield out and then exploit the width with balls in behind/down the wing. The defensive line is fine I think but the width/general passing/tempo is what could use testing/developing.
Just basically looking for some tacticians input and if its significant enough credit the work as a collaboration, the tactic has not lost a game but the shots per game is 23 with 9 on target but just not prolific enough for the chances created and the midfield seems restricted.
If anyone has some time free and fancy's the task of colabarating on this then let me know and we can get discussing/testing. I should mention before hand I want the tactic to hold an underlying philosophy of sharp short passing and brilliant movement in the opposition half whilst remaining goal side and capable defensively. It's supposed to be adaptable to suit each individual clubs needs whether its inside forwards/wingers with move into channels depending on the personnel available to the user. I will analyse some matchday screenshots later today with analysis via photoshop of how the team shapes up on various platforms and then thats the kind of material we can analyse along with the test outcomes. The tactic also needs to have a universal feel, so adaptable by the smaller clubs as well as being title winning for Arsenal etc, alot of the reasoning behind that aim is because that is why La Masia has had so many downloads because of its universal setup and template.
