Tactic for national team

I am Ireland and i dont know what kind of tactic to use. Tactics take ages to be learnt by players so what kind of tactic is easiest to use

What do you mean like in terms of what squad?

I just see what the best players in the squad are (using team report) and try a tactic that will take this into account. e.g. not enough quality full backs but a large amount of good centre backs means I will try and play a formation with only 3 cb at the back.
