Buy a GK. Asenjo will be good. Then get another MC/AMC.

I played 4 seasons with valencia. Won the leage every time (just) , champs leage 3 times in a row and spanish cup twice in a row, and we became the best team in the world.
1st season i only sold Edu and i bought: Alexis sanchez for £5m, and franco zuculini for like 600k.
I think i played
Gk Renan
DL- Moretti/del horno ( i swapped between them)
DC- Alexis
DC- Albiol
DR- Miguel
DM - Albelda/marchena
MC - Baraja
AML- Mata (or silva/vicente)
AMR - Silva (or joaquin/sanchez)
ST Villa
ST Sanchez (or morintes/zigic)
for 1st season, where i won the league 1 point ahead or real madrid.
In the 3 seasons i sold : Maduro, Navarro, marchena, albelda, baraja, zigic, del horno, vicente, joaquin, fernades, ever banega, gonzales, sunny and viana.
I bought alot of players Fazio, marquinhos, valencia, javi martinez, insua and miguel veloso being the most sucesful.
Renan became a worldclass golkeeper, winning Gk of the year twice. Villa of course was amzazing, winning player of the year 1st season, silva came second in player of the year 2nds season, and alexis sanchez second in the 3rd and was the world player of the year in my fourth season. Albiol was also a star player for me, and somewhat suprisingly so was miguel.
