I have been reading a lot of articles on how you should make sure each player is set to its favoured role/duty but then also certain duties work in a combined way with others like shadow striker and false 9 for example.

my question is there anything any of you would do to this to probably make it better where i have made a mistake or something to change to help it.

My main problem i have had so far is teams are ripping my defence apart they seem to be able to get in right behind my defence i have just conceded 4 to man city away and can't seem stop them from tearing a hole in my defence.

Any help or suggestions would be great :D

Thanks

They're ripping your team apart because you don't have anyone protecting the back 4. You need a holding midfielder.

who should i select as that then cause i don't like playing with dmc i have seen teams with same formation as me doing fine

Formation yes, midfield pairing no.
i don't know what that means ,
i read that article before and its getting me al confused could you suggest what instructions i should use and what duties i should change for this formation

Change Matic's role for starters to something more destructive,, BWM, CM Defence, something sitting and tackling/pressing rathter than ball holding. A midfield 3 usually consists of a ball winner, a dictator and a playmaker. both of yours will be drifting to the final 3d more often than not leaving you expposed, especially with an attacking team/style.

i know its asking a lot could you be bale tell me what each players role should be other than my wide players as there indie forwards and do well in that dutie as well as my target man its my midfield three and back 4 that just aint working

Change your fullbacks to a more attacking role so they can overlap the wingers when they tuck in.

Spare man theory

For me I have two formation to deal with the opposition inspired by Marcelo Biesla's spare man in defense. Elite teams mostly line up with one forward so I opt the 4-4-2 diamond, however if they change to a two man forward I switch it to a 3-5-2 so the defense have a spare man every minute on the pitch. Before you start every game, check the scout report for their ideal formation and choose between three man or a two man defense pairing. All the player roles in these formation are similar apart from the advanced playmaker swapped for a defender, other that that both formation have two hardworking shuttlers supporting a regista, classic two man partnership and wingbacks varying in position. Having similar roles gives stability and flexibility. You just have to be reactive manager instead of playing with same tactic every game.

"What should I change/do" isn't going to help you at all.

Read the link. It'll help you. Rather than just following everything like a parrot, try to understand what you're doing.
