Hi everyone,
This is my first post and tactic in the FM community. I’ve always had a slight interest in FM but I’ve only really just started getting into the game and I decided to try and create my own tactic instead of just downloading someone else’s.
I developed this formation for my Bayern save because I’m a huge fan of Guardiola’s back three formations when he was coaching Bayern. It was actually a bit of an accident because my original purpose was to create a position for David Alaba because he was unhappy about not getting enough game time.
I have created a 3-4-3 formation but its shape changes at various points during the match, so it can easily be called a 3-2-2-2-1/ 3-4-2-1 formation.

So without further ado, here it is:

You can download the tactic from the bottom of this post.
It is an Asymmetric formation with control mentality and it relies on fast, pacey wingers/inside forwards who can either cross into the box for the striker to score or cross to the opposite flank for a tap in. They can also either try long shots or supply the ball to the Advanced Playmaker.
First I have a sweeper keeper who pushes up because of my high defensive line and the defenders usually play the ball back to the keeper when under pressure rather than clearing it to flanks.
In defence I have three central defenders with defend duties to remain at the back to break down attacks and retain possession. My central defender in the middle also has the Stay Back at all times PPM and they are quite solid at the back.
Now on the left wing, is a supporting wing back and further up is my Inside forward playing an attacking role.
Next are my three key midfielders (The Three Musketeers!). I have tried to make a defensive, central and attacking midfielding player, but they don't quite function i would like them to.
Having only started playing the game seriously a few weeks ago, I do not possess sufficient tactical understanding to select between the different roles for the musketeers.
To be fair, it's been hard identifying roles for the entire team, but i think getting those three right is key to getting everything else to take shape so that other players can be involved in play.
I have a winger on the right and a lone striker upfront, but i've been noticing that the winger is usually un-involved in play and the striker is isolated because support is never available for him in time.
TACTICAL ANALYSIS

1) As you can see my solid back three are in place, DM is standing quard and WB and DLP with IF able to offer further support. AP is a bit more advanced than I'd like, but that's not big a problem at the moment. I don't know why i forgot to label the DW on the right.
2) Here you can see my the back three in place. This is one of the times when the three musketeers were in play, very good positioning because the player on the ball always has at least one passing option, and the ball can be played to the IF who in loads of space at the moment.
3) This is one of the times where the formation just isn't working. My midfielders are nowhere to be found and the Right Defensive Winger is too far back to offer support for Lewandowski. I don't know if changing his role would fix this?
4) and 5) just show the three musketeers getting in each others way and 5) also shows the Winger being too far back to offer support.
6) The blue spot is where i would consider an ideal position for the advanced playmaker to be at that point in time, making it easier to offer support and run into space for a through pass. There should also be another musketeer running in the yellow path. What roles do you think would allow this?
MAJOR TACTICAL CHALLENGES
1). Choosing roles for the three key midfield players. I've been thinking AM > REGISTA/Roaming Playmaker > DLP. What do you guys think?
2). Lone striker is not really effective.I read this article by cleon but i can't say it helped so much : What Makes A Goalscorer? | SI Sports Centre
3). Wing back barely makes any crosses into the box in the entire game. Do i choose an inverted wing back?
4). Should i change the role of the inside forward to advanced playmaker and change my adv. playmaker to an attacking midfielder?
5). I’ve tried to mix the passing so that some players make more direct passes while the team make short passes. Is this good/bad?
Here is the tactic:

I can see it working for a future barcelona save, I'll change the AP to a Trequarista for Messi and a poacher role for suarez, with neymar being my IF.
Please try out the tactic and let me know if it turns out good for you.
Any tactical advice would be great,
Thanks
