The BEST advice I can give anyone on this forum looking for the perfect tactic is simple: don't over-complicate things, and let the Strategy setting do the work.
1. Pick a shape YOU like
2. Set basic player roles and adjust accordingly depending on results (they will come)
3. Make playing style choices in Team Tactics.
4. Untick all Specific Instructions on this page. The Strategy you choose will dictate the slider positions for you!
This will allow your team to play to it's full potential. Too many tactics on this site have contrasting settings (Overload strategy with minimum width - it doesn't work!).
