Looking for people to help build up not just single tactics but create a unilateral set to cover all the details of a coach/managers tactics. This is going to be specific detailed and if I went at this alone it would be a huge undertaking, Im talking covering all the variables of a Mourinho team, from his style at Porto to his early chelsea to his late chelsea to his first season at inter to his second season to the madrid tactics. This is a huge undertaking, I want to cover the tactics of: Mourinho, Guardiola, Kruyff, Wenger, Ancelotti (Milan-Chelsea possibly his earlier days in Serie A as well), Lowe, Capello, Lippi, Boas (From his styling with the BVG to Academica to Porto) and a few other names as well who I feel can be adapted and worthwhile creating, Your probably thinking 'this has been done before' not in this setup I dont believe.

Example of how Mourinho would work:
We research stats and videos from his porto days work out his formation and the roles he used and his setup at home, in the league, away defensive/offensive, European tactics he used and develop them into individual tactics designed for mobility and use in FM11.3

For example the compilation works by splitting the workload and coming back and showing what we have and designing the details from there. Everything from the precise goalkeeper distribution to the style of striker and role I want to be covered with no stone unturned.

I will get started with the first package later when I decide who to start with, would love some people's help with this if your interested let me know and we can see the best way to get started. Would prefer once we design the packages to detail the style so a phase of testing will be required to precisely home in and compare to best replicate the era/coach we are designing. This is a project that will take a couple of months to complete all of the coaches/styles I can think are worth replicating a few pieces of work from people a week is the way it can be done like that.

Writing articles on the pieces will be the final piece and hopefully best sum up how it was used/its effectiveness and include a bit about its testing success and the comparison to the actual tactic used on the pitch.

Hope there is interest or its going to be a lonely job

I do have vast tactical experience myself in developing set ups of tactics that play possession football and limit creative freedom etc and in the 'real world' I do hold a UEFA B License coaching badge so I would love to endorse each particular package of a managers era at a club with a set training schedule, so that is another phase of development I could use partners for.

If you find it difficult to figure out what the tactical outlays are, I suggest using this website. It's brilliant, as it looks as matches, tactics, line-ups and the players.

Looks good by the way.

Awesome resource nick, it tracks back to the uefa cup lineups of 03 and the super cup loss 1-0 in 03 as well, and of course it has the journey in the champions league. Building up some resource tools at the minute, youtube is pretty useful at getting portugese league games so compiling those up now in a document.

So the first project is the 'obvious' one of Jose Mourinho, starting from 02 when he took over up until the champs league final before he ventured to Chelsea. Porto era is the first little step, will post a resource post soon when I collect everything I need

i was the one that requested tactics pack yesterday so i fell obliged to say something :)

as a teenager i played cm03/04, which was easy to play and i it was not needed to be so much into tactics as it is today. in fm08 and 09 guys that made book about tactics had all those classic formations attached (exact formations were 343 352 41212 4132 4141 4222 4231 4312 4321 433 4411 442 451 532 541 with diamond versions of 343 and 442, each with defense, standard and attacking mentality). in fm10 someone made mourinho tactics pack that emulated his style of play from porto and chelsea.

i'm not football expert and i do not know a thing about tactics, nor i do know how they did it. whenever these packs appeared i was happy as a kid because i knew that i could play with top teams and in llm and that it will be a great challenge without thinking about formations except choosing them and their mentality.

i don't have screenshots (or interest in lying, i think this is a great community and everyone knows what are one's capabilities) but with that particular mourinho pack for fm10 i could win with man utd or arsenal treble 5 seasons in a row, bring red star belgrade to cl semi finals, get to quarter finals with ivory coast, get swansea to premiership, win world championship with boca juniors and copa libertadores with pachuca...

this is ambitious and huge undertaking and i'm sure that lots of players will at least try the tactics. as for me, i'll certanly stick to them once they are released...
