The 4-4-2 being my normal/home tactic.

We are predicted to reach the play off's so around 4th-7th in league two, and probably have one of the better strike forces in league 2. Doing rubbish about 7 games in won 1 drawn 3 lost 3.

Primary scorer i would like it to be Phillipskirk or Redshaw both of these are one of the better strikers in the league and will more than likely change complete forward to compensate for their ability to advanced forward maybe.

Numerous players chip in with the goals, ranging from the three strikers we have one center mid and the wingers. I would like the team to have a strong defense and play at a normal line, but would like us to sit back then hit teams on the break using the wingers as the main assisters in the team also the dlp which would be Brad Potts.

I prefer to have my teams playing direct football rather than short passes.

The issues im having is that my team just leaks goals whether it be goals coming from crosses or from the oppositions build up play and splitting the defense through the middle.

Any help would be appreciated as im losing the will to live haha.

Looking at the 442, you're going to have a massive gap between the wingers and the fullbacks because you've asked.the wingers to bomb forward and the fullbacks to stay back completely. That means there's a lot of space on the flanks to exploit. Then to make matters worse, BWM will aggressively close down anyone with the ball instead of sitting in front of the defence. Because your flanks are so open in transition, that's where he'll end up, which then also opens your middle.

Looking at the "counter" tactic, if you want teams to sit deep, create a deep formation. Your formation is your defensive shape.
