I realize this has been posted a lot but i have searched around for hours and just can't get it right.
My finishing sucks, it's terrible and i swear the game is out to get me.
The situation below happens very regularly and the only reason i manage to win most of the games is because the other teams only manage get 4 or 5 shots on goal, sometimes less.

I know it's not the players, maybe the defence isn't all that great but they get the job done.

So that's my team and tactic, can someone tell me what im doing wrong and perhaps give me some pointers?

Philosophy: Fluid
Creative Freedom: Most
Closing down: default
Tackling: Hard
Marking: Zonal
Crosses: If you have good crossers set it to float but if you have poor ones set to drill crosses
Roaming: More roaming

Defensive line: Push up but not so high: somewhere in the middle but slightly to the right
Width: Narrow, move it slightly to the left making the midfield tighter hence a much more congested midfield and furthermore, you 3 AMC's and 2 MC's
Tempo: Move it slightly to the left but behind the width bar

Counter Attack: Yes

Set AMC to a central winger position which allows him to move to the flanks to play triangle passes.
To set it up, go into their advanced instructions and at "wideplay" to hug touchline.
AMCL and AMCR to hug touchline aswell.
Defending Cm set closing to to own area and tackling to hard.

A good solution is to reposition the 2 CM's to a DM position and set them to run from deep often. and play and anchorman + DL playmaker role.

search this forum for a tactical guide. there is one somewhere
 
Thanks for the reply mate, been using your tactic and so far it seems to work, finishing still isn't as sharp as i would like, and i'm yet to play any major teams but the players are scoring quite frequently so im happy.

Well i did some tinkering with the tactics swiftninja gave me and the results are quite good, performed pretty bad on the champions league finishing 3rd in the group stages, but then i managed to win the europa league eliminating inter and juventus alog the way.
But i will download your tactic for future saves, it seems to have some very positive feedback.
