Tactics against much better teams

Hi everyone!

I'm currently playing as Real Salt Lake from MLS and have had great success with 4-1-2-1-2 against similarly skilled teams. I've managrd to make it to the club world cup and drawn man city in the semi final. I cant even stay within 4 goals agsinst them?

I know they are a vastly superior tram, but it would be fun to at least make a game of it? Anybody have any suggestions at to tactics that might help my smaller club hang with a super power?

Pack the midfield. Replace your 2 strikers with attacking midfielders so your formation becomes 4-1-2-3-0, an AP, IF and W combination has worked quite well for me. An AP or Trequarista will still get in the box when needed. Set your DM to Anchor man. Slow it right down. Play a counter strategy. Waste time. Set at least one of your DCs to cover. Hope this gets your losing margin down below 4!
