what are some tweaks i can make to my 442 diamond tactic against top sides? Im doing well against the rest of the league but seem to struggle against top sides. Any tips/tweaks recomended?

Pull back your AMC to CM and play him as a deep lying playmaker or a Ball winning midfielder, what players do you currently have and what are they currently set to in terms of role?

Howard
Heitinga(wing back/support) Jagielka(cd/stopper) Distin(cd/cover) Baines(wing back/support)
Fellaini(anchor man/defend)
Rodwell(ball winner/support) Arteta(box to box/support)
Cahill(adv playmaker/attack)
Yakubu(target man/attack) Saha (adv Forward/attack)

Im going to swap cahill and artetas positions/roles. Any tweaks you can recommend?

I'd stick with the two up top and the defensive mid, but I'd play with 3 deep midfielders, supporting the front 2. You have the pace up front and the delivery in Arteta, maybe play Arteta as a deep lying playmaker [support], Rodwell as Ball winning midfielder [Support] and Cahill as a supporting midfielder. Play it through the middle with a narrow width and slow the tempo down. But barring all that, you shouldn't have much of a problem against most of the sides, just sticking with your current formation and slowing down the tempo would be just as effective.

When I was Everton manager we also used to play well against the big sides. I didn't tweak anything, I played my normal attacking game and it payed off- Your not going to get anything from these big sides, if you sit back and try for the draw..
