Tactics and Player instructions

Hi , I'm new here as you see , I find it difficult to understand particular aspects of tactics



I underlined it and it would be great if somebody could help me to solve these problems

Also , it is not really clear what means "through balls" . When should I use it rarely and when often ?

And finally , what is "closing down" , when should I use "Own area" , "Whole pitch" , "Own half".

it really depens on ur player

example if u have players wiith good work rate nd teamwork well then close down whole pich if not own half
