im norwich, just got into prem in my 1st season and about to kick off the campaign.

with norwich i played a 4-3-1-2 formation, very narrow, and also hit people on counter attack, if i was the favourite id be attaxking, if evens id be control if not fave id be counter.

i have never been in a relegation scrap before and am really nit sure what tactics to use, post your tactics on here, advanced and balanced. thanks for the time :)

haha, i only have the one scottish in my team, leigh griffiths up top. any ideas?

Depends on the tactics of the other team, if its someone likely to thrash you and you are not expected to get anything from the match, defend with a 5-3-2 formation, which worked for me in the past.

Standard formation though I would go with 4-3-1-2, start with 'Control' tactics, dont defend too deep, and if you see yourself coming into the game, change to an Attacking stance and press a bit more.

Hmm, maybe try a 4-2-3-1 with 2 Def Mids. Could work :P

Will try something similar to that with Elgin in the SPL.

Just work on your defense. Against strong teams use defensive positioning as your focus area in match prep. Spend time on set pieces that will help you nick results.

cheers everyone, lost first game away to everton 4-2. they got 2 pens. then home to chelsea lost 3-2 so was pretty tight. hope i can stay up, really wanna build on this game and within 4 years get top four

I played 4-5-1 with 1 DM, 2 CM, AMR and AML and ST. I found I fashioned lots of chances but didnt have a good striker to finish them so Leigh Griffiths would really suit this formation. I set myself to standard and balanced with counter attack on and I ended up coming 15th with Colchester.

I am now in my 2nd year of Premiership, currently 4th after 23 games. Overachieving but hey I did manage to get Dzeko and Berbatov on frees. Even though Berbatov is past it now.
