Absolutely fuming today! After several attempts I found a tactic that seemed to be working with Tranmere Rovers. Ran away with League One in my season and consolidated in the Championship in my second season finishing safely away from the relegation zone. A consortium then comes in and takes over and after giving me details of wage and transfer budget for the forthcoming season goes ahead and sacks me! Now I appreciate different owners have different ideas in the real world but I have been over achieving in terms of expectations in the leagues and cups. I couldn't stand starting again so have created a new manager and taken over tranmere again but obv my reputation has gone down I have to start again in terms of the team becoming familiar with a tactic they have been using for the past 2 seasons! To top it off my best player was sold in between me getting sacked and taken over again.

What is the point if being successful with an unfancied team leads to a takeover and they subsequently sack you? I've noticed during the same save AI teams also sacked their manager following a takeover.

My issue is if I continue to be successful and there is another takeover down the line will I just get sacked again?

Had something similar to this in my Wolves-save. I had just gotten promoted to the BPL, when some dude buys my club, and then tells my that maybe he'll sack me, even though I had just performed, what the media called a miracle. His reason were that he prefered Irish managers, so he planned to replace me with B. Rodgers. Luckily I remained manager, but it might be something like that. I know it's crazy and all, but take a look in the real world, were Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan prefers players with the number 8 in their birth certificate :) Hopefully this helped just a bit :)

Basically what has happened to Malky Mackay in real life, overachieved & yet still got sacked by someone who knows nothing about football or management. unlucky mate.
