PRE SEASON

First Team Squad
Immediately as I took a look at my first team squad I noticed that we were missing a world class defensive minded milfielder a gap left behind by Alex Song who had left for Barcelona.

I felt if we were going to finish the season with a trophy we would need to rely on the likes of Santi Cazorla's attacking flair and Thomas Vermaelen leadership and defensive capabilities.

STAFF
I mostly focused on signing phyisos, scouts and coaches not much was changed as I kept the same assistant manger Steve Bould.

A new director of football was hired and it is Damien Comolli.

TRANSFERS IN
Not much activity in bringing to many players to the squad I did start of by purchasing Marouane Fellaini I paid a fee of 23 million breaking the clubs transfer record, I felt we needed a defensive minded player and I was confident he could retain possession in key parts of the game and also build up attacks.

TRANSFERS OUT
I wanted to get rid of a lot of deadwood in the First Team unfortunately I could not get rid of the players I wanted to. I did however sell one player which was Sebastien Squillaci for 600k and 13 young players went out on loan.

I let my Steve Bould take care of the friendlies as long as everyone gets fit I don't worry about the results.

AUGUST

My first month in management was great success as we won both games in august although the real tests will be coming next month.

There is no other transfer news to discuss there has not being any transfers in and any transfers out.

In our champions league group we were drawn against Shakhtar Donetsk, Malaga C.F., SAD and Fenerbahce.

The first game in charge ends with a win I was very happy with the contribution of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain he pushed us forward in this game.

Maroune Fellaini work rate and decisions were incredible in this game he laid on 2 assists for his team mates.

SEPTEMBER

Although it was frustrating to lose to our fierce rivals Manchester United overall it was a good month only losing 1 game, drawing 1 game and winning the rest of the games the team is really starting to show an understanding of each other on the pitch.

OCTOBER

A disappointing month for us in the Champions League and our exit Capital One Cup we would need to improve drastically in the champions league if we wanted to qualify.

This was disappointing especially with our home record this season I was expecting this to be a stroll in the park now we are in danger of not qualifying we need to win our next games.

This was one of the most exciting games I have watched we were 4-2 down at 70 minutes with 20 minutes to go at the end we were 5-4 up.

Unacceptable we were 2-0 up after the first half and all we had to do was hold on for 30 minutes we broke down and conceded two goals we ultimately lost in extra time.

I'm such a child sometimes on FM, there's a good chance I'd have rage quit after the 3-0 loss to Fenerbahce, so (Y) for that.

Oh, and I hate to be "that guy", but please learn when to use "been" and when to use "being". They both sound and are pronounced totally differently.

An excellent month for us as we start to pick up on great form but we are still are having problems holding onto leads away from home this needs to improve.

i use arsenal i get so upset to concede 3 or 4 goals against team like southampton i mean c´mon reading coming and scoring 4 goals after 4shots wtf....this game ****** me off sometime u look at the finishing of the opposition striker he got 11 and score for fun i use 32millions on cavani and cant score on 1vs1 situation..that almost make me wanna stop to play this game as sometime is unreal and so stupid when u ask ur anchor man to not hold the ball and he does and lose it coz he is not moving and not passing the ball when other players are free..or u ask ur keeper to play short and he kick it long 7 out of 10 did i miss something in fm 13 ive been playing since 2002 so i know the game
