Background:
Aaron Debrincat started the game looking for a challenge and went with Southend in the fourth decision. Debrincat got through with Southend winning all but a few of the games. So they were easily promoted to the third division. Following this Debrincat applied for the Blackburn manager position following Sam Allardyce being head hunted for the managerial role at Galatasaray. The Blackburn board offered Debrincat the head role after being impressed with his work at Southend. Debrincat was brought in one day before the end of the mid season transfer window and immediatly signed Xisco and Leroy Lita on free transfers. In short Debrincat managed to avoid relegation finishing 14th. Debrincat managed to become affiliated with Ruch Chorozow and Cercle Brugge by the time the 2010/11 season started.
Now onto the 2010/11 season
There was a bit of infighting in amongst the team mainly from Pascal Chimbonda and Gael Givet. So Debrincat thought the best thing to do was clean out all the older players bar a few and rebuild from scratch. Debrincat was generously given 9 mil to start out with but with the transfer out of:
Maceo Rigters (Willem II, 700k)
David Dunn (LOSC Lille Metropole, 3.1M)
Franck Queudrue (Southampton, 1.3M)
El - Hadji Diouf (Parma, 2.6M)
Gael Givet (Lazio, 3.9M)
Morten Gamst Pederson (Newcastle, 4.1M)
Kleberson (Werder Bremen, 3.5M)
Ryan Nelsen (Everton, 1.9M)
Pascal Chimbonda (Ipswich, 1M)
Michel Salgado (Hoffenhiem, 350K)
Paul Robinson (Hull, Loan for 500K)
Nikola Kalinic (Napoli, 6M)
Zurab Khizanishvilli (LOSC Lille Metropole, 1.8M)
Alan Judge (Ipswich, 2.2M)
Leroy Lita (Derby, 925K)
Benjani (LOSC Lille Metropole, 675K)
Thomas Hitchcock (Newcastle, 1M)
Amine Liganzi (FC Lorient, 3M)

Johnny Flynn (Gateshead 375K)
Alex Marrow (Cardiff, 525K)

All in the Summer Transfer Window for the 2010 Season. This gave me a fair bit to work with in terms of signing players in which made these players made the move to Blackburn in the same window.

Start of Season:
Due to the mass changes Debrincat named Tim Cahill and Brett Emerton as Captain and Vice Captain respectively.
Blackburn played in 6 friendlies before the start of the season which Debrincat set up to get the players together and get some continuity. Blackburn started off with a 2-0 and 4-0 wins over Ruch Chorzow and Cercle Brugge due to affiliation agreements. Following this Blackburn beat Leeds 1-0. Blackburn were offered a chance to play in a preseason friendly cup with Sassuolo, San Lorenzo and Cordoba. Rovers beat Sassuolo 1-0 in the semi and San Lorenzo 1-0 in the final as well. Leaving Cagliari as Blackburns last opponent of the pre season in which they lost 1 -0. Out of the friendlies the stars were Cahill, Xisco, Caicedo and Phil Jones.
The odds to win the Premiership were released and Blackburn were listed at 2001 to win the title so it doesn't look like the "experts" are giving Rovers a chance in the Premiership.
Start of the Season.
Match Day 1: Chelsea vs Blackburn (0 - 0)
Blackburn faced a tough first up challenge facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The match was surprisingly pretty even with no goals being scored with Chelsea's Paulo Ferriera recieving the Man of the Match. Yellow Cards were handed out to Phil Jones, Patrick Vieira, Michael Potts and Stephen N'Zonzi for Blackburn whilst best on ground for Blackburn was without a doubt Christopher Samba before his departure.
Match Day 2: Hull vs Blackburn (1 - 0)
Blackburn headed to the Circle for the second match of the year against Hull. Blackburn were not as promising in the clash with Hull failing to trouble the scorers again with Hull midfielder Robert Koren scoring the goal on the 63rd minute. Koren and Samba shared the Man of the Match award continuing the great start to the year for Samba.
League Cup Round 2: Crystal Palace vs Blackburn (0 -3)
Probably the match that Blackburn needed following the disappointment of the Hull match behind them. After a slow start Jenas and Cahill scored before halftime with N'Zonzi finishing off the scoring late in the second half. The match was marred with the sending off of Vince Grella with a straight Red early in the second half. Yellow cards were given to Nedum Onuoha and Nemanja Matic. With the mid week departure of Samba, Jones and Onuoha earnt the starting central defender spot and both played well but not as well captain Cahill who scored and laid on the other two assists.
