talk to player transfer

Hey guys, im just curious if the talk to player option when you try to buy a player actually ever works? like do u ever persuade them to join?

im just curious cause it never seems to work when i get the option

Is that when you get an offer accepted and he doesn't want to enter contract negotiations but you get the option to talk to him to see if you can persuade him? Cause if so then yeah, i've been successful many times, can't remember the options so i couldn't advise anything. If its something else that you're on about then please expand a little more.

I had one just with Ante Coric trying to convince him to come to my newly promoted Nottingham Forest team, the option I chose in that case was about becoming a club icon or legend. He accepted the idea and I was able to open talks with him.

My guess is something like if they are young, then icon or club legend would be a suitable way to go because an ageing player is less likely to become a club icon or legend unless they were world class and could single handedly carry your team. Whereas a young player has time to develop and become a world class player at your club. I could be miles wrong, and the options may just be pot luck, but I don't sign uninterested players unless its a youngster then that's when I use the above option.
