Hi, after downloading the English lower leagues for FM10, I have decided to work my way up the leagues with a team that is fairly local to me, Taunton. I will be updating this story daily, apart from weekends. I will probably do an update at 5pm GMT each week day, so that there is a fair bit of information to put into an update and it might make an interesting read.
Starting off with a wage budget of £900 a week, and currently being £25 a week over budget, and having zero transfer budget, I scoured the unemployed footballing population to find a few gems for my team.
Kelechi Opara - A strong and pacy 27 year old Nigerian striker, with a good long shot to boot.
Nathan Walker - A hardworking Center Mid whos not afraid of a tackle, 19 years old from England.
Jermaine McGlashen - A pacey 19 year old English winger.
Mark Ormerod - An experienced 33 year old English Goalkeeper who spent most of his carrer at Brighton.
And finally...
Gareth Chadwick - A 30 year old target man from England.
Currently I am looking for another center back to keep my main pairing on their toes.
I have also gained CrewE as a Parent club, and considering the amount of players that have come through there ranks that have become good quality players, I am extremely happy. Although they wont send me anyone on loan just yet, im sure they will have a few regens in the future I can loan.
I have been given odds of 3-1 of being promoted this season, so I have a good chance. I am mainly going to be focusing on league postition and promotion over cup runs, but I wont use a weakend side for cup games.
I have just finished pre season (see attatched screeny), one loss isnt that bad I dont think... My next update will be 5pm today. and following updates will be 5pm weekdays.
