Team Fortress 2 Engineer Update

I am currently visitting my dad in the USA so am unable to play TF2 but have been reading about the Engie update. Just wondering what people think about it. The weapons sound kwl but are they actually decent?
Any opinions would be appreciated.

All updates suck, apart from the Heavy update. Entire teams of sandvich omnomnom'ing are always good.

But seriously, no idea. I avoid servers after updates are released until the hype has died down and people start playing their regular classes again.

Personally I think the medic update was good, the pyro was good, the scout sucked (except Force of Nature), Soldier was poor, Demo was pretty poor (don't play it anyway), Heavy was pretty good, Sniper sucked, Spy was good. Ye I agree with you avoiding servers until hype dies down. Usually the class spam is bad enough but with Sentries everywhere it may be even worse!
