Team Instructions Help

Hey. I'm playing football manager 09 (Obviously) and I need some help on the team instructions. For the width, tempo etc.. what exactly should you use to get a couple of good wins - for example Im swansea city and I play quite attacking, wide and normal tempo but its not working to the full extend, what should I do to my instructions to make it a little bit better.

What exactly do you need to know mate? There are literally millions of different tactical variations.

Like, My team play good attacking football. I like to play the possesion game and get crosses in. What are the most IMPORTANT things to do all of these?
 
umm i dont't know what team you play but i play short passes with steady build up play (with Shrewsbury) and then my team puts out wide and crosses.
so i would say MOST IMPORTANT are...
focus passing down both flanks
wingers have high crossing attribute
forward(s) have good heading,finishing and composure
wingers are playmakers
winger player instruction cross ball often

again, this is relative to the league you are playing in. Can't expect a player like Torres to be playing in league 2.
