Team is ineffective in marking/intercepting

Hi. I'm in my second year of managing Fulham and it's going alright.

The main problem is that my formations/tactics aren't working well when we're on defense. The players never seem to mark their man tightly enough and they barely make any interceptions. When a opposing player gets the ball, the surrounding Fulham players rush to that player but that leaves the other players open.

How can I make my team more defensively sound by making them more likely to intercept and to mark players tightly?

Do you use the 'hassle opponents' shout?

I do use the 'hassle opponents' but it doesn't seem to help much.

Players with higher concentration levels can be more useful as they'll man mark other players better when opposition instructions are applied. Lower levels of concentration means less effective marking. may be worth checking. also check player preferences-you may have to do some additional training
