Hi i will add some info how to take care of team talks.

Hope peeps can use it. merry christmas to all

overview
Team talks are of great importance before a game and at half-time to motivate your players to success. The pre-match team talk is used to ensure players start the game with the right attitude, while a good half-time team talk can be essential in helping to turn a result around or hold on to a lead. If you use the half-time team talk to try to motivate certain underperforming players then make sure you check their ratings during the second half to see if they improve. If not, then you ought to consider substituting them off if possible. The post-match team talk is less important but should be used to congratulate players and help build relationships with them, or to let them know if they have played badly. You should try not to use the same team talks constantly, but instead adapt team talks to the situation so their effect does not wear off later in the season. Before advancing to the team talk, ensure that you check the Match Odds in the Predictions tab on Match Analysis (shown pre-match) and also the Pre-Match section of Assistant’s Feedback. This will give you key information to help you give appropriate talks. Match odds will give you an idea of how demanding you should be of the team to get a result, while you should demand more of complacent and overconfident players and try to take the pressure off nervous players. You should first set an overall team talk to give to your players as a group from the options on the Give Overall Team Talk drop-down menu. This offers you a selection of tones that can be used when delivering the talk. Your chosen tone should be appropriate to the situation, expectations and the effect you wish the talk to have. For instance, a calm tone would be suitable if you wish to relax players and take the pressure off them, a passionate tone if you wish to lift morale or inspire players to a high level of performance, an assertive tone if you wish to demand victory or that the team sustain their level of performance, and an aggressive tone if you wish to convey your anger at the team’s poor efforts during the game and fire them up. After choosing a tone you can select the actual talk that you wish to give, which again should be appropriate to the situation and expectations. Individual and positional team talks can also be given to players to be used in addition to the overall talk. In particular, you should make sure to set an individual team talk where a player reacts badly to the given overall team talk to try and gain a more positive reaction. For example, you may wish to calm them down if they have reacted nervously or let them know that you expect them to perform if they appear overconfident. Each player’s reaction, if any, to both the overall and individual talks will be displayed in the Body Language column after the talk is given. On the other hand, if a player has reacted well to the overall team talk, such as by being motivated or fired up (or relaxed if they have been reported in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match as nervous), then you should be confident that the individual talk will get a positive reaction from the player since you risk harming their motivation. Positional team talks provide an alternative to individual talks by giving the same talk to all of your defenders, midfielders or strikers. If you wish to exclude a certain player from a positional talk then you can simply give them their own individual talk first. It is good practise to make notes on how individual players react to certain team talks so that these can be used or avoided in the future as appropriate. This can be done by selecting Notes from a player’s Overview tab and clicking Create Note, while you can check how the player reacted by selecting Team Talk Feedback on your assistant's Reports tab or the Last Match section of your Team Report. You are particularly looking for effects on the players’ motivation, or how relaxed they are if they were feeling nervous, rather than whether a talk made a player happy or angered. However, if a player is angered at half-time then this may affect the second half performance.

Pre match

For the fansLet’s give the fans something to cheer todayUse if match odds are close for games against club rivals (as seen in your the Information tab on your Club screen), title, promotion or relegation rivals (when they are established a few months in to the season) and important cup games. It can also be used if you find your team reacts badly to other overall team talks or if you are unsure of the talk to give. It is more effective when your team is playing at home but can be used for away matches as well. [h=3]You can win today[/h]If we play our game, we’ll win. You’re all very capable of thatUse if match odds are close and the game is not against a rival or an important cup game. It can also be used if the match odds clearly favour your team but morale is poor. Never use if your team is reported in Assistant’s Feedback as overconfident or complacent. [h=3]Wish luck[/h]Good luck lads!Good luck lads, go out there and pull off an upsetUse if match odds are clearly against your team. Never use if your team is reported in Assistant’s Feedback as overconfident or complacent. [h=3]I expect a win[/h]I’m expecting you to win today boysCome on lads, show me what you can do!Always use if your team or specific players in the team are reported in Assistant’s Feedback as overconfident or complacent. It should also be used if your team is clearly favoured by the match odds and players’ morale is generally good or higher. [h=3]No pressure[/h]Go and have some fun todayEnjoy the match todayWe’re huge underdogs, so there’s no pressure on you to succeed. Go out there and show everyone what you’ve gotUse if match odds are very heavily against your team, for example when you are facing a team from a higher league in a cup competition. It can also be used if your team is on a winless streak, morale is generally poor, and other team talks are not motivating the side. [h=3]None[/h]I don’t think anything needs to be said right now, you all know what to do out thereAvoids giving a specific team talk. Inadvisable to use as one of the other options is usually applicable and players may react badly to no overall talk.

Pre matxh individual team talk

Pick up where you left offI want to see more of the same from you todayUse if available (the player achieved a rating of 7.5 or more in the previous match) unless you note that the player reacts badly to this individual team talk, is reported as complacent, or reacts particularly well to either you have faith or expect a performance. [h=3]Expect better[/h]I want to see a better performance from you todayUse if available (the player achieved a rating of 5.5 or below in the previous match) and morale is okay or better, except when the player is reported as feeling nervous. [h=3]You have faith[/h]I think there’s a lot more to come from you and I completely believe you’ve got what it takesI have faith in you, get out there and make a differenceUse if a player has poor morale, or a striker is reported as being on a goal drought, unless you note that the player reacts badly to this individual team talk. It can also be used regardless of morale if you note that the player often reacts well to you have faith as a pre-match individual team talk (that is, as opposed to a half-time individual team talk). [h=3]Expect a performance[/h]Show me what you’ve got today, I want to see a good displayI want to see a good performance from you todayI want you to give me a solid defensive effort out there (defenders)I want you to get us control of the midfield out there (midfielders)I want you to go out there and grab us some goals (strikers)Always use if the player is specifically referred to by name as complacent or overconfident in Assistant’s Feedback, unless you note that the player reacts badly to this individual team talk. It can also be used regardless of complacency if you note that the player often reacts well to it. [h=3]No pressure[/h]Pressure’s off today, I want you to go out there and play your natural gameThere is no pressure on you todayUse if a player is reported as nervous or feeling pressure in Assistant’s Feedback or if a young player is making his competitive debut for the team. [h=3]None[/h]I have nothing specific to mention right now, you know what to do out thereAvoids giving a specific individual team talk. It can be useful if you wish to exclude a player from a positional team talk but do not have an alternative talk appropriate for them. It can also be used with a calm tone to relax a player who has reacted nervously to the overall team talk, without actually telling them that there is no pressure.

Half time team talk

UnhappyI am not very happy with your performance out thereI am not very happy with your performance out there. You were awful out thereUse with an aggressive tone when losing by two or more goals if match odds are clearly in your favour. [h=3]I want to see more from you/Where is the passion?[/h]I expect to see a much better showing in the second halfWhere is the passion lads? Do you not even want to win this match?Use when drawing after giving I expect a win as a pre-match team talk, when losing by one goal if match odds are close or clearly in your favour, when losing by two or more goals when match odds are close, or when losing by two or more goals after giving wish luck as a pre-match team talk. [h=3]Unlucky[/h]Unlucky boys, things just haven’t gone right for us so farCan be used instead of I want to see more from you and unhappy if morale is poor and the team is on a winless streak, or if player ratings are generally higher than the scoreline suggests. [h=3]Encourage[/h]You’re performing well out there, keep it up and the result will comeUse when leading by one goal if morale is poor or the match odds are close or against your team, and if no complacency has been reported in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match. [h=3]You can win this[/h]Keep going out there and you can still win this oneWe can still come out of this match with a win todayUse when drawing after giving you can win this or wish luck as a pre-match team talk, or when losing by one goal after giving wish luck as a pre-match team talk. [h=3]For the fans[/h]Let’s give the fans something to cheer todayUse when drawing after giving for the fans as a pre-match team talk. [h=3]Pleased[/h]I’m pleased with how things are going, keep it upUse when winning by two or more goals if no complacency has been reported in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match or when winning or drawing after giving no pressure as a pre-match team talk. If complacency has been reported then ensure the lead is comfortable enough before using this talk. It can also be used in your first few games in charge of a new team when holding a one goal lead. [h=3]Don’t get complacent/Room for improvement[/h]Don’t get complacent, things can turn around very quickly in football, keep focusedWe’ve got to guard against complacency now. Don’t think the job is doneYou have played well so far but there is still room for improvementUse when winning if morale is good or better and your team is clearly favoured by the match odds, or if complacency has been reported in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match either for the whole team or for individuals. If you consider the lead to be comfortable then pleased can be used instead. [h=3]No pressure[/h]There’s no pressure on you to get a result today, go and play with confidence and have some fun, and see what happensThe way the game is set you can go back out there for the second half and play without pressureThere’s nothing to lose today, so go out there and give it your best shotUse when losing after giving no pressure as a pre-match team talk. [h=3]None[/h]I don’t think anything needs to be said right now, you all know what to do out thereAvoids giving a specific team talk. Inadvisable to use as one of the other options is usually applicable and players may react badly to no overall talk.

half time individual team talk

UnhappyI am not happy with your performance todayUse for poor performers with okay morale or better. However, do not use for players that have been given no pressure as a pre-match team talk, young players, new signings playing in their first few games or players returning from long-term injuries. It would be advisable to substitute such under-performing players if possible. If you have never noted that a particular player is motivated by this talk at half-time then you can still give the team talk but should consider substituting him instead. Do not use if you have noted that the player reacts badly to it at half-time, but again consider substituting him. You should also seriously consider substituting very bad performers (rated below 6.0) or poor performers with low morale. [h=3]Prove a point![/h]Go out there and show everyone what you’re capable ofI want you to prove to everybody that you have got what it takes to play for this clubUse instead of unhappy when available for key players who are underperforming, unless you have never noted that the player reacts well to it or you have noted that they react badly. [h=3]Unlucky[/h]You have been unlucky so far, good effortUse for poor performers who were given no pressure as a pre-match team talk or are young players, new players playing in their first few games or players returning from long-term injuries. [h=3]You have faith[/h]You weren’t bad but I believe you can still improve. I have faith in you. There’s a lot more to come from you and I believe you’ve got what it takesUse for players who have a played well (rated above 7.4) or have scored. However, it will be less effective on new players during their first few matches in the team. [h=3]You can make the difference![/h]You have the ability to make a real difference for us today, get out there and do it!I’m looking to you to make the difference for us, I know you’re capableUse instead of you have faith when available for key players. [h=3]Delighted[/h]I’m very happy with your performance todayI was impressed by your solid defending (defenders)I was impressed with how you controlled midfield (midfielders)I was impressed with your efforts up front (strikers)Use for players who performed okay or well and were given no pressure as a pre-match team talk or are young players, new players playing in their first few games or players returning from long-term injuries. You should generally avoid using it on your best performing players so as to guard against complacency. [h=3]No pressure[/h]There is no pressure on you todayPressure’s off today, I want you to go out there and play your natural gameUse for players who have a rating of below 6.8 and were given no pressure as a pre-match team talk or are young players, new players playing in their first few games or players returning from long-term injuries. You should consider substituting such players if possible.

Sub team talk
[h=3]You have faith[/h]I think there’s a lot more to come from you and I completely believe you’ve got what it takesUse as your regular individual team talk for all substitutes unless any of the other options are appropriate. [h=3]You can make the difference![/h]I’m looking for you to make the difference for us, I know you’re capableUse instead of you have faith when available for key players. [h=3]Pick up where you left off[/h]I want to see more of the same from you todayUse if available and you have noted that the player reacts well to this individual team talk. [h=3]Expect better[/h]I want to see a better performance from you todayUse if available and morale is okay or better, except when the player is reported as nervous in Assistant's Feedback pre-match. [h=3]Expect a performance[/h]Show me what you’ve got today, I want to see a good displayAlways use if the player is specifically referred to by name as complacent or overconfident in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match, unless you note that the player reacts badly to this individual team talk. It can also be used regardless of complacency if you note that the player often reacts well to it. [h=3]No pressure[/h]Pressure’s off tonight, I want you to go out there and play your natural gameUse if a player is reported as nervous or feeling pressure in Assistant’s Feedback pre-match or if a young player is making his competitive debut for the team. [h=3]None[/h]I’ve got nothing specific to say right now, you know what to do out thereAvoids giving a specific individual team talk.

Post match team talk

[h=3]Not good enough[/h]That wasn’t good enough I’m afraid, there’s no excuses for not winning that sort of matchYou weren’t good enough today, that was the sort of match we should be winningUse if your team has lost or drawn when match odds were in your favour. If player ratings are generally below 6.0 then ensure you use an aggressive tone. [h=3]Unhappy[/h]I am not happy with your performance out thereUse if your team has lost or drawn when the match odds were close, or if match odds were against you but the general performance was below expectations. If player ratings are generally below 6.0 then ensure you use an aggressive tone. [h=3]Lucky[/h]We got away with that today, you were poor out there. We need to be much better than that when we come up against better sidesUse if your team has narrowly won the match but not played well when the match odds were clearly or heavily in your favour, unless the team is in poor form or players have poor morale. [h=3]Unlucky[/h]Unlucky boys, it just wasn’t our dayUse if your team has lost and you gave no pressure as a pre-match or half-time team talk, or if your team has lost or drawn but player ratings are generally above 7.0. [h=3]Pleased[/h]I’m happy with what I saw out there, there were some positives for surePutting the result aside, that was a pleasing performanceA very nice victory, well doneA good win boys, well doneI can’t fault you for effort, nobody expected us to win but you gave it everythingUse if your team has won. It can also be used if your team has achieved a draw or a one-goal defeat against much stronger opposition, particularly if morale is low. If your team has won when the odds were clearly against you then make sure to use with a passionate tone. [h=3]What a comeback![/h]What a comeback that was. A superb effort, I’m proud and so should all of you beUse if your team has won the game after being behind at half time when match odds were close or against you. [h=3]Why can’t we play like this more often?[/h]That was a very good performance, which makes me ask why we can’t play like that more oftenAn alternative to using pleased after a good performance if you manage a top team who have been playing below expectations. However, use with caution as it may have a negative effect on players. [h=3]Warn against complacency[/h]It’s important to now switch our focus to the next match, and not become complacentCan be used when on a good run of results to help prevent complacency in the next match. However, it would be advisable to use pleased instead to keep morale high and then use expect a performance on complacent players in the next match, as well as I expect a win as an overall team talk if appropriate. [h=3]None[/h]I’ve got nothing specific to say right nowAvoids giving a specific team talk. Inadvisable to use as one of the other options is usually applicable and players may react badly to no overall talk.

individual post match team talk

UnhappyI’m not pleased with what I saw from you todayI’m disappointed by your defensive efforts (defenders)I’m disappointed with your efforts to control the midfield (midfielders)I’m disappointed with the quality of finishing (strikers)Use for players who have ratings below 6.8, except where you have given no pressure as an individual pre-match or half-time team talk to the player, or the player is a young player, a new player playing in his first few games or is returning from a long-term injury. Use with an aggressive tone for players who have ratings below 6.0. [h=3]Unacceptable second half performance[/h]I’m disappointed in your second half performanceThe drop in your second half performance was unacceptableUse instead of unhappy if the player performed better in first half. [h=3]Unlucky today[/h]I appreciate your efforts, you were just unlucky todayYou were unlucky today, but it was a good effortUse instead of unhappy for players who were given no pressure as a pre-match team talk or are young players, new players playing in their first few games or players returning from long-term injuries. [h=3]Did well[/h]You impressed me out thereYou did well out thereThe second half was much better, well doneUse for players who played well but were not one of the very top performers. [h=3]Delighted[/h]I’m pleased with how you did todayI’m pleased with your performance todayI’m very happy with your performance todayYour performance today was very goodI was impressed by your solid defending (defenders)I was impressed with how you controlled the midfield (midfielders)I was impressed with your efforts up front (strikers)Use for a few of the team’s top performers, that is players with ratings greater than the team’s average, if your team has won. [h=3]Great second half[/h]That was the sort of reaction I was after, you were great in the second halfUse instead of delighted if the player did not have a very good first half performance [h=3]Changed the game[/h]You were a decisive factor in an amazing turnaround for us tonight, well doneUse instead of delighted if the player was a key performer in a comeback [h=3]None[/h]I’ve got nothing specific to say right nowAvoids giving a specific individual team talk. It can be useful if you wish to exclude a player from a positional team talk but do not have an alternative talk appropriate for them.

Thats it hope u enjoy..,O)

That's really helpful, thanks!!

Do you ever take the advice of the assistant coach? Reason I ask is that somtimes he tells me to "encourage/motivate the team" or "tell them to do this for the fans"...for the latter, I choose the option for "let's give the fans something to cheers about" but there is no response from the players, any ideas?

Hi there ..,O)

No i never listen to him hehe ..

if there is no responds on the team talk . Then use individual talk after that on u key players. . U will soon learn what to say to the players and not to say.

Some players are performing well under presure some not. U can use a scout report on u players to find out. sometimes it says that the player will perform well under big matches. that way u know u can put a " i aspect a performance on them.. " did that help u ?

If i play a big team(real madrid) i only use those talks belove !

1. At homeI’m expecting you to win today boys ,Come on lads, show me what you can do. . Say it in a assertive Tone. If i know i am favorit.

2. Away matxh I’m expecting you to win today boys. against weak teams say it in a passionate / assertive tome. This helps if u are on a winning streak.

3. Lets say i play barcelona home i will use Come on lads, show me what you can do or for the fans in a
assertive tone. key players expect an performance

4. Facing barcelona away i will say for the fans or maybe enjoy in a passionate
way. Key players i expect an performance

5. leading by 2 goals halft time say You’re performing well out there, keep it up passionate / assertive tone.

6. sub players who are under 6.0 in performance. Dont even team talk them an play them further in this game.

7. if leading by 1 goal maybe use Don’t get complacent/Room for improvement. passionate / assertive tone

8. If u are behind then say UnhappyI am not very happy with your performance out thereI am not very happy with your performance out there. in a angry tone. Go grazy.. hehe Players who perform above 7.0 say i have faith in u. assertive tone

I never use i wish u good luck and stuff like that who sounds like u dont have a chance.

this works for me. Hope u can use some of it
