Ronaldo, Messi, Robben, Ribery etc they are all game winners and great players, is having a low teamwork attribute helpful for players of that mould?

Im looking for a regen of a messi style and was wondering about the low teamwork. Anyone share some light on how it works?

thanks

I think the teamwork thing, applies when a player is prepared to not only get forward and create something, but also get back and help his team mates with defensive duties etc aswell, and not be a selfish player ie. if its high, he'll pass to an open team mate, rather than try and put the ball away by himself and go for glory. Players with higher teamwork ethic, are very beneficial as they're not selfish

That was my lines of my thinking. I'm going to do a little experiment by making a superhuman player by using FMRTE, il do one season with his stats all 20 including Teamwork and then another with all 20 apart from teamwork put that at 9.

Won't be able to make them all 20, players don't have enough PA. Go for 15. You'll wanna do repeats too, since other variables can effect his season.
But I believe teamwork just decides how likely he is to do what's best for the team (be it tracking back, passing, or going alone)

The team work attribute is basically how much he'l put the team before him. Eg. Player is in a forward position and close to scoring, but has a tight angle, will he go for shot or will he pass to someone else who has a better chance of scoring. I have a striker who scored 30 times and had 10 assists with 12 team work. Then when his team work went to 15 next season, he scored 20 times but had 25 assists. I was getting frustrated, cause my other players are not as good as him at finishing!

That's my point, I think its helpful for players with a special talent in front of goal to be a bit selfish! 8-|

Doesn't mean they won't shoot, or won't have a dribble. Teamwork is helpful in basically working with your teammates, whether it's passing to a teammate in a better position or working with your defensive partners to make a successful offside trap. There are literally no downsides to having a high team work attribute.

I understand that but wouldn't they shoot and dribble more if it was lower?

Only when it is in a situation where it won't benefit the team. If you want people like Adel Taarabt trying and failing to dribble their way through the entire opposition team, then great, low teamwork would be great for you. If you want him to dribble through half the team and then lay it off for an unmarked teammate to blast it in, go for high teamwork.
