Im playing Arsenal, but Ter Stegen, who was my target fm2013 though never been able to bought him (Barca wont sell even for 60m).

Now, Ter Stegen is very cheap, bought him 5m. I have Szczesny, who do a good job in-between the posts.

Who is a better performer? both in consistency and big games?.. Szczesny club grown status is a huge plus. But ter Stegen Leadership is such a great attributes for a GK

Szczesny also got a lot of club interest, though Barcelona made a 6m offer for him

Ter Stegen moved to Schalke in my save for 6M, ****** him, try both, keep the one who works out better and sell the other one :P
Club trained status isn't all that big of a deal with Arsenal, you can buy players at 16/17 (regens), after 10 years majority of my team was club trained. xD

I've had Ter Stegen in past saves, and I haven't been convinced by him. His technical skills is a bit lacking and his mental attributes defensively is also a bit suspect.

He has a high ceiling potential wise but he's no where near that. He's not ready to be No 1.

[h=2]Szczesny should be better, but that high Eccentricity makes me think again.[/h]

Bought ter Stegen for 7,5 Million, and he is making so much fouls for 2 season in a row now. Its kinda bizar, he had an average rating of 6.73 in a Team that got beaten by one point to win the league!

I'd say Szczesny. Played an Arsenal save myself and after 6/7 seasons he was the best 'keeper in the world. The eccentricity was a bit foul, he did make one or two costly mistakes, but saved me in so many games its hard to fault him really.

Stegen's relatively low handling and one on ones always put me off him.

Managed to sign Ter Stegen on a free in my Schalke save, and he is amazing :)

Have Ter Stegen at Dortmund, first signed him for free but I decided to pay 3.5 mil E and got him in January. First season he was horrendous, mistakes after mistakes but now in his 3rd season he's very good but he still does the same mistakes sometimes.

I've had all four (De Gea, Ter Stegen, Szczesny, Courtois) on different saves and I'd say long term Ter Stegen is the best. His mental stats are so **** good, and he keeps on developing; so you could always work on his weak side which is obviously 1on1 and ball handling.

But if you're already at Arsenal, then I'd recommend you to keep the polish goalie.

Hello everyone. I'm currently wondering this same question so this thread was helpful. I'm still playing fm13 and have both Players. But not sure what player to keep. Szczesny is two years older than Ter-Stergen. Both on high wages. The polish keeper has asked me in the past that he wants a new challenge earlier in the season so maybe I should read into that. I'd be very great full if anyone can offer some advice

for me personally I choose ter stegen because in one of my saves he has a 7.5 rating average and he won the golden gloves for years now. What a talent!

They both look really good but if you're Arsenal might be best to invest the money in a younger keeper or reinforce some other part of the team
