Hi!
I'm pretty new to Football Manager. So I have a question: How do I terminate a contract. I'm playing with Racing Genk. And they have a nice, young squad. But the problem is: 2 many high paid players. I have to pay a lot of wage for a player I loaned out to another team. I wanted to terminate his contract, but I don't know how. I tried virtually everything. Do I have to wait for the season to end? Or what?

Grtz!

firstly this is not a good idea as you will pay a substantial once off payment to terminate their contract as you need to pay them out for the remainder of their contact... this would be detrimental to your finances in the short and long term...

secondly the board will (most probably) block your request to terminate their contacts as it would cost the club way too much to do so....

if that player you are trying to terminate is out on loan, you will have to wait for him to return to your club..

the best thing to do is to continually loan him out every season and make the club cover his wages at least by 90% and when he has 1yr or 6 months left on his contract then you can terminate it and it wont cost you that much :)

or you could **** him off, and then request to mutually terminate the contract. To **** him off, Just offer him Mutual Termination in the first place. It's a lot cheaper and termination. Also, try having a private chat with the player and tell him he's too expensive or not in the first team plans, this should also make your job of getting him to leave , easier.

Private Chat saying they arent in first team plans (or other crappy reason), transfer list, squad status to not needed, put in reserves and finally offer mutual termination.

Loyal players still want to stay usually though and you risk getting all his teammates annoyed.

Yeah, as said above, just be a **** <)

Any way of ******* him off, do it. Constantly fine him if possible, that way you save money on wages too :D
